It would be like one of those stupid Hackett missions in ME1 where you don't know all of the details.  Just that a former BAaT allumni has gotten into some sort of trouble.  It wouldn't really be about going back to fix things.  Just someone that was a friend is asking for help and Kaidan might feel obligated to try to do what he could.
*shrugs*  Not saying that I want it, just saying if they do something with Rhana, I would like my Shep to kick her butt.

What would I like to see in ME3 as a loyatly mission for Kaidan?
What I would like to see is that Shepard, trying to gain back his trust and just wanting to help Kaidan, joins his squad, his mission--whatever that may be.  I'd like to see Kaidan's leadership skills and growth as a character displayed and have Shepard recognize that in the mission.

It would be an interesting change in play since the main character is following orders/watching his back, granted, but we already have changed perspective with being Joker in ME2.

EDIT:  If someone would please post a photo for me.  My hubby is pacing the floor because I'm late for TV time.

Hello Kaidanites (Kaidanphiles? Kaidanistas?)

I like the FemShep/Kaidan romance well enough, but I almost prefer the MaleShep/Kaidan friendship. Am I the only one? It just seems so normal and well-adjusted. Not at all a cliché of video game male posturing. It's refreshing. I'm sure you've all discussed MaleShep and Kaidan's friendship in this thread, but I just wanted to throw in my two cents.

It's funny, when I went to import my six ME1 Shepards into ME2, I was surprised to discover that Ashley hadn't survived in any of the playthroughs, even those of my three MaleSheps. All of my MaleSheps went for Liara, and one of my FemSheps. I kind of wish I had saved Ashley at least once, so that I would have maximum variety, but not enough to replay ME1 again.

as for reunion scene, i would love to have a completely over the top romance cut-scene. and then i would like to have a da:o-like kiss kaidan whenever you want interrupt. or a end me2-like cuddle, if not that.

and a happy ending.

Admittedly, I'd like to see what happened with Rahna, but I don't think Kaidan needs to patch things up with her to be focused.  Honestly, I don't think he'd even be crushing on her anymore - he probably just thinks fondly (or bittersweetly) of her from time to time whenever something reminds him of her.  Also, he probably needs to patch things up with Shepard a hell of a lot more urgently.

Helping Rahna wouldn't be out of the question, but I don't really trust BioWare at this point to do it well for either her or Kaidan.  I like her, but I think she's best left in the past or in fanfiction.

I hope there aren't any loyalty missions in ME3, outside of whatever happens during recruitment.  I could be happy with a sliding loyalty scale that reacted dynamically to situations where you had to make tough choices, though.

Btw that werent directed to your comment I got what you meant =), I just posted it as I was thinking more about Rahna as a mission, and what you would actually be made to resolve

Omgsh that actually sounds cool....Ooo I like it. Whether it would work out when you're playing it or not as it might still feel like you're leading, but nice idea.

Nope I love them both too. I first played with a male shepard and felt like Kaidan was my bro, so the Virmire was complete devastation for me.

@ Rhana:  No.  Kaidan doesn't have any issues to resolve there.  Its part of his history--part of what makes him who he is.  He's over it and doesn't need it "fixed" for him.  That's one of the things that we all love about him.  He's whole in and of himself.  Being with Shepard just makes him better.   

@ Sheploo friendship with Kaidan:  I don't know.  I've never played as a guy.  I'm toying with the idea.  But I'd probably have to LI Liara.  I don't think I can kill Kaidan.  It would be difficulty enough not being able to romance him.
I'd like to see the series through from an Ash LI perspective.  But I think I'll just have to watch my husband do it instead.

when i made my last shepard i.e the one I care about the least I did think about whether or not her looks she suited Kaidan, however I wouldnt really have changed her image for him. Whenever I make a new character I always try to make them look as different to my previous one as possible but thats pretty much it

Actually... with Mia, yes. I had originally intended her name to be Kalyn, but decided it sounded too similar to Kaidan. So I renamed her Mia and slightly altered her appearance and backstory to match.

@Sian The vast majority of us here are women and primarily write/draw/discuss from the romance POV. But Nick, if you ever see him around, likes the bromance angle and Fortunesque has a fic called "Only By a Few Seconds" that features a mShep/Liara romance and Kaidan-Shepard bromance. And LoveStories also, I guess (umm... hi, by the way, I don't think I've seen you around here before)

My characters tend to be made usually without knowing anthing about the LI at first. Afterwards, I try to make them opposite the LI, just so I have that balance in battle or something. My only biotic is male and fem-Sheps are either tech nerds or hardened soldiers or a combo.



Name-wise...I always use an A as the first letter. Mostly nostalgia from my first RPG character that I called August.

Well, I choose names based on my Shepard's personality. My canon's name is Serena. It fit her because she is so calm but then BAM, she'll kick your ass. She's also the one I based two of my fics on. There's a new fic I'm working on and I'm naming her Remy. Long story concerning her name but I'm tying it into her background and it'll make her the person that she is when she finally meets Kaidan.

Hey thanks I'll probably check it out when I stop being silly and ignore the fact I dont like liara lol, I'm not really one for fanfiction though, however this thread got me to start reading two, ones called Parallax I think and I cant remember the name of the other it kept flashing back between shepard and Kaidan sorting things with Lilith. I havent read either in while though, dont know who theyre by, but they were both very entertaining.

Oh, Joisan! I wanted to thank you for your input on kotor the other day. I youtubed carth and you're right, he is totally different from kaidan. I mean I know it's Sbarge's voice but I soo didn't hear kaidan at all.

I just saw that most of the folks I've been hanging with seem to hang out here, so here I am. Plus I do like the Kaidan character. I still think he's the best male LI in the franchise so far, not that ME2 gave him a run for his money. Aside from that though I just think he's a fun character.

I would definitely prefer that to something with Rahna, but I still vote for any Kaidan-related ME3 quest having nothing to do wtih BAaT.  We know too little about the rest of his life outside of that, I want some more backstory dammit!

More backstory is good. I am pro-backstory. Of course, I think more story for all the characters would be nice. Who knows, I may end up liking Mr. Priiize if I actually find out something about him that doesn't show up on a resume.
