R Sbarge is the man.
Though I think he actually was more forceful in his role as Scorch in Republic Commando, than as Kaidan,
Than again Kaidan is more laid back then Scorch.

The main reason I like Kaidan though is out of ME1 and 2's crew he is the only one I could really see that is normal and would do normal things.

My boyfriend said that there was going to be a Republic Commando TV series and that Sbarge would be voice-acting in it, apparently.  

I never noticed that Kaidan voice = Carth voice until my boyfriend pointed it out to me.  They're completely different characters, it seems.  Carth's always mean to me.  But I'm still on Taris, so maybe that changes.

I think it got cut, and the resources were put into the clone wars show.
Meh, the Commandos are cooler than those ponces in robes anyday.
Cody and Rex are damn awsome though.

My male PC in KotOR and Carth were great friends.  I do prefer the friendship path w/Bastila and the romance path w/Carth, though, cause, well, I'm a girl, and The Voice™.

I don't have much to add to the previous dialogue comments, besides... I am so going back to playing ME1 in a bit.  Have an Alenko before I go.

He does stay aloof to a male PC for a while, but the line at the last mission is just awsome.
"Ready to get back to work, partner"

Fave Sbarge line ever there.

I hope Kaidan comes back in Part three right now, since I really miss him on my crew, and outside of Garrus, he would be the only one I am not expecting to kill me out of the blue.

@Carth--make sure if you are playing female PC, tease him.  Don't take the nicest answers.  The teasing flirtation with Carth is the highlight of the entire game for me

So long as you aren't dumping him or telling him he sucks at Eden Prime, he and Shepard have some awesome exchanges in all three, Paragon and Renegade and Neutral.  (Off the top of my head, I like the Neutral response to "I've seen what cutting corners does to people," and the Renegade to "By the time I got payback, I didn't even want it.")

Mostly I like paragon with Kaidan, but there are some neutral options I like and a couple renegade ones I like, though I don't always take them since the other options are also so awesome) Off the top of my head, for the locker scene I like neutral first ("I pushed as hard as I could. They wouldn't listen.") Then paragon ("I need you to be there while I figure things out") and paragon ("Sometimes I need a shoulder") Then neutral ("I'm sick of it too. Maybe we need to take a little initiative.") Kaidan's slip-up with "lo-- appreciate" is just too priceless. All of the responses there are also priceless, though the neutral ("Careful; when this is over I might actually start paying attention to what you say" :-P) and renegade ("I think you need more practice 'appreciating' me") are my favorites.

I've never Renegadized Kaidan. (Kaidan-romancing Shep was Paragon.)
