also, i'm just going to come out and say that i *LOVE* all the sheps - fem and dude - on this thread. perhaps because they tend to have a lot of thought gone into them. none are quite the same, and i like that. so yeah - kudos all around.

Uh, Jenova, I find Escapists community consisting of typical teenager gamers. Correct me if I'm wrong. They're gonna laugh off and/or ignore everyone who think Kaidan is "okay". This is a hate thread covered with a thin layer of courtesy.

So I'm not gonna register there only to be ignored, even if I leave a whole elaboration of why Kaidan is likable to more people than OP may even thought.

And again... What the hell about Kaidan being similar to Alistair? From all you people said about this DA character, they seem quite different.

Nah, there are some teen idiots on there, but heck there are some here too, but the escapist is a good forum most of the time.

Yeah, Jenova, that thread is pretty awful, I will post something, but I don't think that the kids who have posted in that thread will get it.  I thought it was hilarious that they mostly also hate Alistair, though.  He and Kaidan are both "Nice Guys" who eventually come to a point where they refuse to do as the player character commands -- the difference with Alistair being that you can do what he wants, and things will be okay, but with Kaidan, there is no choice.  

Even before Horizon, Kaidan had the misfortune of being the Human Male Party Member, who was also burdened by having no visible tattoos, and scars that only fanatics would take the time to notice.    Add that to the fact that he has less dialogue with MaleShep, and guys who aren't interested in getting to know him will not ever make the effort.  It's a shame, they're missing out.
