I think Kaidan's perceived weakness is that he's not an in-your-face rude jerk. Guys who are cooperative and reasonable tend to be viewed as effeminate by a certain subset of the male population. These are guys who insult each other to show they care, that they are "bros".
And let the record show that Garrus is, in fact, a badass (in a good way).

Are you kidding me? I really really really wanted him to say, "I've got a bad feeling about this," at some point.
I could never manage to catch him saying it, though.

He totally would.
He strikes me as the type that would cuddle on the couch in sweats and a big fuzzy blanket for hours on end.

yes, this one was laughing at that statement. i'd pen a response but i have a feeling it would fall on deaf ears.
Yeah me too, would probably encourage more of their Kaidan bashing. They were bashing Ashley too, who i very much like as well so we shall be grown ups and leave them to their sad meat head, "all i care about is shooting a bunch of stuff in a pointless, game with no depth so i can look good in front of my mates" games

Nope, sorry, you have to hold him while he cries about his DARK past, when you're not saving him from his daddy issues. It's the law. The video game male love interest law.

Yeah I havent played me1 in a while, but from what I remember of Kaidan he pretty much just falls in line. He knows his place. His role isnt to buddy up to shepard, just be informed when necessary and follow orders as hes supposed to. Like an alliance soldier should. Hence "ive wasted enough of your time commander" lets get the job done! Its most important and what he signed up for. its easier to buddy up with the aliens as they arent alliance, they dont have to follow the same protocol and Garrus is naturally questioning anyway. So compared he comes across as passive person, rather than him just sticking to his role. imo anywaySiansonea II wrote...

Both of these ...
So true... What is wrong with someone who speaks their mind without worrying about the pecking order or being all in your face about it... is that a bad thing...

Ah, this makes me think of the old days on the ME1 boards, when Psycho_Roxanne and I, as well as a few others, would defend Kaidan against the scores of kindergamers who would bash him and call him a 'wuss'. Good times.

I remember those days. The Kaidan supporters were definitely in the minority on those boards. It was a breath of fresh air to come here and see all of the Kaidan love and support after ME2 came out.
I guess I can understand how irritating Kaidan could be to the maleSheps, since his personality really only comes out to femShep. Unlike Ashley, who has practically the same dialogue with male and femShep. My femSheps were all very sad to let her die on Virmire, but they just HAD to save Kaidan.

My husband actually always looks like he has five-o-clock shadow, even right after he shaves. (His skin still feels smooth at that point, but you can still see the shadow.) I figured Alenko suffered from the same problem.
And yes, I'm quite sure biotics are always warm.
That would explain Jack's getup.

While we're at it, mr Rhodes had many cool concepts: 1. 2.
About Kaidan's five o'clock shadow, it applies to most of men with deep brown/black hair, alas, to every guy I know with this color, my father included.

Well, per chance Jack is trying to use it to her tactical advantage. All that flesh flying at male adversaries at once? They won't know which gun to use.
Weirdly enough, Jack's get up only bothers me in hostile environments, where she really ought to be in a suit of some sort. It fits her personality the rest of the time. And she has proper heavy boots on, at least?
I am more annoyed by Samara and Miranda's heels, to be perfectly honest. Who fights in heels if they don't have to? (The cumulative effect of all three outfit choices, however well they may fit the personality quirks bioware wanted to highlight, is highly disturbing. Stupid bioware and excessive fan service.)
I mean, Garrus gets to wear armor the entire game, and Jacob and Thane and Mordin at least have clothes over their entire bodies that aren't so tight as to show off everything underneath them, even if they don't actually look like proper combat-wear.
And, um, on topic, combat hurts. Armor is good:

LOL, explain my husband, then (auburn haired). I think it's amount, not shade.
