Wait! What? Which dev said nobody likes Kaidan?
Chris did, though it was a joke and he's not even technically a dev. I shouldn't have brought it up

Well, so far, there's been no involvement from any BioWare devs on this thread, because I don't see the giant BIOWARE in blue letters under the thread title....
Although, most dev comments in the Tali forum were from Stanley Woo telling fans to keep on topic.
Then he shut it down.
Maybe we're better off not having dev comments.

okay, here's an on-topic question (i hope it is, anyhow)...
is there any particular place where you can get especially good fraps video footage of kaidan doing awesome fighter-type things? i keep thinking i'm just going to have to record him in battle. i wish he got a cool intro cutscene, but he doesn't really have one. any ideas of places where i could find that?
something like this: (But moving)

Brody has a point, we need to stay on topic (and I am not saying we haven't been), and lets face it sometimes we drift... and indept study of our thread would show any moderator that.
They don't want Kaidan bombs or spam or raves about anything ... and we bomb and rave and what for.
That being said, someone says the words Virmire or Horizon and we are off on another crusade for an indept study of the two stongest incidents. All Kaidan based of course.
You want to prove that Kaidan should be in ME3 ... the best way to do that... Keep on topic and keep this thread open. If it was the only one that didn't get shut down... that would count more then anything else.
More Kaidan for everyone ... we are one more day closer to ME3!

Now to get back on-topic, I don't know anything about video-editing or game hacking, but I would love to see a cool introduction to Kaidan/VS survivor in ME3, hopefully as a surprise new squadmember. Now, although I wouldn't object to any re-introduction to Kaidan in the ME universe (I'd take Anderson bluntly saying, "We can't trust Shepard, go spy on her Kaidan"), Kaidan blazing in action and using his Sentinel abilities to rescue Shepard in a pickle would be an awesome introduction (and reward) for Kaidan fans. THAT would make-up for the ME2 shenanigans. I'd also love to see a, "Why didn't you email me?!" inquiry after the enemies are dead.
What else I like about Kaidan is that he introduces an interesting aspect (twist? maybe) to the ME universe: the BAaT training. It was an Alliance program that went horribly wrong, and the fact that the Alliance tried to sweep it under the rug blurs the lines between them and Cerberus. Children dying? Vyrnnus? Trying to instill fear in family members regarding their biotic relatives to ensure there was no interference? Doesn't sound honourable at all.
Yet Kaidan survived this program...and went to work for the Alliance.B/romance, friend, however people perceive him, he's a very interesting character.

ME-OW! Look at that intensity on his face. I really need to hook up my Xbox for video capture. Anyone have any tips/exp?
I know what you mean about ME2. I ran to the Citadel first thing (still do in every playthrough) to try to find him. Then you're sent to Horizon. You get the cut scene with Lillith being all friendly (grumble grumble). I rushed through Horizon, not to see him, but as if there were a little clock in the bottom ticking down when the Collectors would leave with him. When that ship took off...my heart dropped. Then relief with that glowing intro he gives. Then frustration with Shepard standing there unreceptive. Then everything goes to downhill.Shavon wrote...
In one sense, Kaidan has quite the awesome intro, in both games. In ME1, you see Shepard walking along the length of the ship towards the pilot area, when you get to hear dat voice for the first time. I never even knew about KotOR, so had no idea who Raph S'barge was, but his voice was instantly beautifulLol, he's also the very first squad mate you start out with, so Shepard cn easily assume that he's trustworthy.
In ME2, as a huge Kaidan fan plays through each recruitment mission, s/he starts to wonder where he will turn up. By the time you get to Horizon, that cut scene drives you nuts with excitement and urgency. I whipped through that entire mission, as fast as I could to get to talk to Kaidan. Only to be recieve ........ well, a too short of a roll, I'll just say that.
In ME3, I want to see him as a squad mate, I want him/Ashley to have a heart-warming reunion with awesome, nostalgic music playing in the background, and I'll try to not cry from all of the happiness . . . LOL.

Yeah. And none of your co-workers really gives a darn either. Even Garrus, which keeps me from seeing hims as a potential LI. If he were a real friend he would have talked to Shepard or given her some sort of comfort. Instead he blows her off for calibrations.Sialater wrote...

And that's the gamut of emotions I've felt EVERY single time I've played ME2. Avery is really hard to play since she feels so broken after Horizon.

Kara is soooooo getting drunk after Horizon this playthrough--first with Chakwas and then at the Citadel.
@Savon: I'm kinda glad that there wasn't the whole rescue Kaidan mission. I don't want him to be Shepard's Lois Lane. I want him to be strong in his own right. Despite Horizon being heartbreaking, Kaidan shows that he is both sensitive and strong.
I HATE that he turns his back on us. I HATE that he walks away. But I also have to respect him for it, too. He's not just going to be Shepard's lap dog.

You've had Tali there? I'm always still working on Omega when I get prompted to go to Horizon.
Also, I got a response to my message from yesterday. I posted it on KAAS and am looking for input into my response.

@Sage
I'd try someplace that's open that you can control your zoom in, like an uncharted planet. But that gives you the problem of the helmet... I might be wrong but I *think* you don't use helmets on Chaska (UNC: Colony of the Dead)
You could also try one of the many buildings on the random worlds; they're spacious, there's no helmet required, and the lighting is good.

Not having either Tali or Garrus comment on Horizon AFTER BEING THERE is stupid and bad writing and I'm going to pretend that's not how it happened. That both Meghan and Avery got to lean on their friends.
