But lately I've had my Dragon Age hat on and have been digging Hawke. That beard has magical powers and I think I'll roll him first when I get the game.

Yes! In Mass effect it was always Garrus and Kaidan (or Garrus and Ashley) on my team so if I 'm taking my final stand in me3 I'd love my two bro's with me again =DTeenZombie wrote...
Bringing the subject back closer to Kaidan, while still thinking about ME3, do you want Kaidan on your team for the final fight of ME3? And who else would you want, assuming that we'll still have a choice of two characters to bring along?

Yeah seems ridiculous to keep them alive only to give them cameos or minor roles in me3, might aswell have killed them off in 2 by letting them get taken by the collector ship. If they werent bothering with them why even give them a cameo, why not reduce their presence to an email for those who played 1, rather than have them introduced to those that are starting at 2?Batteries wrote...
In the end I am sure Kaidan/Ash/Liara will all be squadmates when ME3 comes around. They were kept alive on purpose in the second game to be in the third. Then again most people seem to just rip apart those words bit by bit and burn them. I'm sure there are ways to make them leave and/or not join you, though.

I'd ragequit if this happened. Then again I'll look up spoilers to make sure it doesn't. But I'll find something to ragequit if it happens XD

In relation to Kaidan Hmm that would be a bummer, but oh so dramatic, but too easy, but heartbreaking....
yeah lol "ragequit" you and me both lol
Hmm I had to look up spoilers to see if my romance would continue with the me1 LI and found out about the pictures so I made sure to stay "faithful". Maybe minor things I might spoil but I think I should quit with the trailers (I wont) and things maybe, I feel I would have enjoyed me2 more knowing less...much less.

I hope that means more than just the
Rachni decision...and it gives me hope that Kaidan will have a
meaningful roll...like squadmate meaningful...in ME3. Alliance liaison,
hopefully.
showdown with the Alliance, like there are things Shep really doesnt
know about them and the LI (because of their connection) will uncover
most if not all of this info, leading them to inform Shep, take her side
and join her again =D
Well just one theory I have, probably FAR from the truth though

Welcome to the new people here.
Found a Scorch (Replublic Commando) figure. MINE! Yay! Now if only it came with the voice...
Also talked to Michale Hogan. I told him that I enjoyed his cameo in ME2. He was like "Oh yeah. I forgot that I had done that." LOL. I asked him how long ago he did the voice work. He said it was about 2 years ago! Wow. That's a long time from the voice acting to the completed game!
Anyways, catching up on the topic...
I agree that the gameplay itself is more enjoyable in ME2. Like, the targets are more than triangles on teh screen at a distance. And the cover system is much better.quantumparadigm wrote...

huh. i may be one of the few kaidan fans then that actually prefers me2 on the whole - kaidan's role completely aside, obviously. though they really are so different it's hard to compare, especially storywise. but yeah, i do like me2 better. it's...colder, somehow, but better handling. me1 is warmer? but awkward play style. my opinion, however. like i said, i think that's the minority for kaidan fans.
I prefer ME2 gameplay to ME1 gameplay, but I love the story in both games. Isn't there some adage or something about how the second piece in a trilogy is often the least liked? ME2 did give me a lot of questions, and I'm feeling strung along with my ME1 romance (seriously, need a resolution!), but damn I loved that game so much. It's a darker game than ME1, and I love that aspect. It feels almost bleak at points -- like this is it, you could seriously die. The consequences felt more real to me in ME2, and I think that's why I like it so much more. I only wish that the decisions from ME1 had more of an impact than they did -- but I can understand from a technical standpoint why they didn't. Hopefully some of the bigger ones (rachni, council, LI, etc) from ME1 will have vastly different effects in the third game.
Anyway, just wanted to say I'm with you on this one, Sage!Despite the significant lack of Kaidan.
I miss the Mako. But there's too much scanning. I think they should do a combo next time around--some planets scan. Some ride around in. HATE the hover shuttle.
You're right, Quantum, about the triology/three act thing. I just heard Cassandra Clare (author of the Mortal Instrument Series) talk about the reason her second book in the triolgy is like it is and ends how it does. She states that she gets that from classic literature (Dante's Inferno?) where the center act/storyline represents the descent into hell.
I think that we could easily categorize ME2 for Shepard as going into hell quite easily.
And I am an avid Star Wars fan. I don't agree with you ladies at all about Empire being the worst of the triology. Actually, as a film, Empire has better dialogue and has more heart than the other movies. A lof of that is due to the fact that Irving Kershner directed it instead of George Lucas (who has no head for dialgue--see Attack of the Clones' love scenes--ugh!). Lucas was firmly against the Han/Leia "I love you/I know" lines. It was only due to a focus group loving that line that he kept it.
@ Teen about who we would want in the final fight of ME3: Kaidan, obviously. Then it would be between Garrus and Tali (Kimbri's best friends) and Miranda (because she's more powerful than I gave her credit for first time around).
@ fortune: bit the bullet and signed up for twitter. Sent Norman my suggestion for anything to reflect fandom for Kaidan.
@Lovestories: Did the same thing before playing ME2. Looked up if LI was still ongoing with Kaidan. So I stayed faithful.
And I see Shepard as potentially staying independent and collecting allies from all over the galaxy--Rachni, Krogan, Quarians, Geth, Cerberus and the Citadel species. I think she's going to become the rallying point.
I heartily agree that I don't want the VS to become a sacrificial lamb in ME3. That would be a breaking point for me. I would hate the whole series and sell the games. For Shepard and her ME1 LI to go all that way and to end up as tragic end would be awful.

Pfft, I guess a Kaidan t-shirt is too much to ask for, right? =P I wasn't very fond of the Alistair and Zev shirts, but at least they're paying attention to women gamers nowadays, which is a start.

My squad in ME1 was Kaidan & Wrex, so hopefully in ME3 Kaidan & Grunt! I just wish that Grunt had Warp like Wrex did, then he'd be REALLY nasty; maybe they'll ADD another power for the squad mates?Quaay wrote...
I'd take Kaidan with me to the final fight of ME3 and hopefully Wrex. If I can't have Wrex then maybe Jack or Kasumi...other than them it would just depend on what character had the best abilities for what I need. I really hope Kaidan gets to be a squadmate though. I want to take him with me everywhere I go.

Kaidan v-neck t-shirt would be great! I put my tweet in.
On a different note: Some of you may have noticed, but I managed to sneak in an update to Truth and Lies before the KotOR comics (which I highly, highly, highly recommend to anyone who is a fan of the game) assumed direct control of my free time (Well, and a trip to Disneyland with my best friend also took up a fair amount of time.)

I'm wondering if Kaidan would ever clash with anyone on the Normandy? I've thought about it and I can't really think of anyone. He is a nice guy and not the type who holds grudges against people (except Vyrnus or whatever his name was), however he obviously disapproves of Shepard's joining Cerberus, so he may not warm up to Miranda and Jacob.
He doesn't even hold a grudge against Vyrnnus. "By the time I got payback, I didn't even want it." He's either incredibly patient or repressing a lot of negativity.
My Shepard likes to poke him to see if she can get him to explode. :innocent:

You know maybe Thane actually the way hes able to kill so coldy, or so it appears. And the way he seperates it, cant remember what he said about it being his body not him or something.Golden-Rose wrote...

And possibly the same with Jack, she would happily kill innocent people, but then again he might understand her.
I cant really see him getting into anything nasty with these people but avoiding them and not involving himself in prolonged conversations maybe.
Oh also Morinth and Zaeed
edit: I could see some tension with him and Miranda aswell actually and possibly Jacob because he use to be Alliance, I think kaidan would wonder how they could possibly work for the seemingly "evil" Cerberus
