I actually have already started this.
Well a transcript, not video.
I've written down the dialogue. Basically started because wanting to RP more I wanted to know exactly what Shep was going to say not the paraphrase and then started recording the different responses by NPCs.
I'm a nerd. It's a LONG word file. I wasn't sure if I would post or share since I'm sure there are multiple copyright restrictions. I've thought about wiki. Especially under the Kaidan specific dialogue. Dunno.

If you shared it, you could put a disclaimer on it and say who the work belongs to etc. Generally they'll stay off your back if you do that.

I hoped I could just use the standard ALL BELONGS TO BIOWARE.
I was waiting until more of it was completed. It takes multiple playthroughs with all the nuances of Renegade and Paragon and mission order... so forth. Spent like 20 hours just to get through all the Eden Prime choices alone. ^_^

Any ideas on format or where to post? Wiki- just thought since it's set up already and can hold large amounts of text. Or a seperate blog like site...similiar to Sage's Unofficial Guide
Plus anyone have a saved picture with the dialogue tree. I'm hoping to copy paste all the options to make it more legible than my dash system now.

On an un-related note I need to figure out how to upload a different avatar... alot of legions floating around...even I can't tell who I am.

@kuoleman

Post it in the Kaidan Alenko Appreciation Society group here on the BSN. We've got a little bit of a transcript going but it's nowhere near complete yet.

Even a transcript is great :)

You can't renegade him if you're male. Only femSheps can do it.

i must admit, that bothers me. it makes it seem like kaidan is being influenced by hormone points rather than by some latent part of his cautious personality that shep brings out.

interesting thought though. if maleshep could renegade kaidan, do you think kaidan would be more liked by guys? or would it just be part of the more maleshep/kaidan dialog would have been good regardless?

I don't think it's like that. He respects and admires Shepard and listens carefully to what she has to say. Since she presents her point thoroughly (charm/intimidate), he can see where she's coming from and thinks on it. From there, his dialog changes to reflect that he's seen Shepard's point and come to agree with her.

In all honestly, here should have been the option to do that with an mShep, like hardening/softening (rofl) characters in DAO. If he were renegadeable, I bet a few of the guys would have liked him more as a common complaint is that he's very softspoken. Making him renegade really turns him feisty and I think some of the guys would have liked that.

But if it were just out of respect and for Shepard and Shepard's own oracle skills, either gener should be able to renegade him.  But its only when she's female that it can be done.  That would indicate that hormones do play a role in it.

Why wouldn't he?  He's got his own following of adoring women and some guy friends as well here.

@ Sage:  I miss Kaidan as a squad mate, too.  I found Republic Commando for my Xbox the other day and was playing it.  And it was nice to be playing another game where S'barge's voice is a squadmate--even if it is a much lighter banter.

@Jade - I find myself playing more ME1 these days where I can have Kaidan as a squad mate rather than ME2.

Yeah -- even though I prefer ME2's combat, the game feels empty to me compared to the first game.  It's not just missing Kaidan, but Liara, Wrex and Ashley too.  It's just not the same.

Good morning, all!

Morning TZ :)

I like the combat mechanics in ME2 more, but I also prefer the amount of customization allowed between the skills and equipment you can do in ME1.

just got my sentinel ally acheivement in ME1 (replaying). I'm not so big a fan of the man himself but by gosh he is quite useful on the battlefield, with his handy first aid benefits

He is quite useful.  Among other things.

Jillyfae, Sappyreelf and I have put up Chapter 1 of The Shepard Project.  We have plans to update once a week, real life allowing.

Yes.  Kaidan is quite useful as a squadmate--romanced or not.  A lot of the time before I can even cue him up to do something, he's already done it--especially lifting the Collosssus in battle.  I love how he anticipates the needs of my Shepard.

Miranda was a character for me that sounds like how you felt about Kaidan.  I didn't like her.  So I didn't use her my first playthrough much.  During my second playthrough, I found out how useful she was and now use her a lot more.

I'm loving it so far.  I can't wait to see the trio in action -- will it just be the three of them, or will they take other characters along?  And will there be romance???  LOL, I don't know if I could put my Shepard in a situation where she might have to share Kaidan...

I just hope that in our plot liberties, we don't screw up Kaidan's characterization.

Sia--What I've seen so far seemed quite in character of him.

Teen--My initial reaction was that even with the biotic stud that he is, Kaidan would have trouble keeping up with 3 Shepard women.  Posted Image

Just discovered the usefullness of that one in my last playthrough.  I had an adet first time through and don't think I explored it as one of Kaidan's powers.

I laugh at anyone who thinks Kaidan is somehow useless as a squadmate as it is apparent they fail at understanding how awesome Neural Shock is. Especially during Liara's recruitment, when people complain about the Krogan Battlemaster at the end. Problem? What? Kaidan Neural Shocked him. :P

Fun fact: Kaidan is the second most powerful squadmember in the game (best is Liara).

But thats just from a soldier perspective.

I've actually never given Neural Shock to Kaidan. Since I kept him Paragon in each game, it seemed an odd power to give a "knight in shining armor" type character.

And thank you all for liking our insane project.
