But yes, "bridging content" is what they seem to be into. So unless ME3 is coming out soon, they're going to have a lot more dlc that connects the two games.

I'm with you on this one  I'd love for the VS to be included in future DLC. It makes sense that you'd be able to talk to them after you survive the suicide mission, so why not make a story out of that? I'd for sure buy it. Not that I have any other reasons for wanting that, of course... hmm?

What role Liara (and Kaidan and Ashley) are supposed to have for having been saved for ME3 if their plot arcs are sorted out in ME2 DLC.  Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, but... *shrug?*  Guess I'll have to wait and see.

It's supposed to be content that bridges ME2 to ME3. Liara's content takes care of the Shadow Broker, freeing her up to be a squadmate in ME3. I can kind of see what they're doing with her.



Here's hoping that the VS has something similar.

Maybe the Liara DLC is the bridging content? We already know she can't go on the suicide mission, and since we don't even see her until after Horizon, it doesn't seem that this is one of those DLC that can be played at any time in the main game. Her whole 'reason' for not going with you is that she has to take down the Shadow Broker; if you take care of that before the suicide mission, then why wouldn't she go? Doesn't hang together story-wise.



Maybe this is more along the lines of Awakenings, where you need to have some version of the main story completed before you can activate it. If so, that would be good for other 'bridging' DLC. No more armor or weapons tho, please! I don't even use all the stuff I have.

I think it's part of the bridging content, yes. The impression from the interview with Casey was that there would be multiple bridging dlc so I don't think it's just Liara only. A lot of folks are speculating that this means the VS as well.

and agreed, no more armor/weapons. though i would LOVE to see some new hairstyles and a new casual uniform that does not have a cerberus logo on it.

The team is almost complete! Even if it's only for a short trip into the darkest parts of politics.

OMG what if we had Tali and Garrus on your team and you had to take Liara to Tuchanka to get help from Wrex! Oh, it would be such a wonderful moment...even better if Kaidan could be there...he'd use his awesome powers and warp all the armors...

From what I understand, LotSB is post-suicide mission.



I have a hard time not buying ME DLC, though I have not purchased the Thane/Jack/Garrus alternate appearance pack. (Or did I? Now I can't remember...) I'm super-excited for LotSB, though. And it makes me hope that there will be DLC involving the VS.

True....defeating the Shadow Broker would fit in more with the ME story arc than suddenly having a date with Kaidan/Ashley.  

If the VS is introduced in ME3 by saving Shepard from a Collector/Geth horde, then it'll make ME3 worth the wait.

That would be great!  I love the idea of Kaidan rescuing Shepard.  I mean, she's rescued him a number of times.  And I'm sure he feels guilty about having followed orders and leaving her behind on the Normandy.  This would be a great intro to his upgraded character in ME3--one that is more of Shepard's equal.

@DLC in general:  I haven't bought it all.  I love Kasumi as a character and wanted that dress.  LOL.  I'm such a girl! 
I did buy the new weapons--my advice?  Save your money.
Didn't buy any armor.  I play as a biotic, so I didn't see any that would help me more than my free Dragon Armor (which rocks--except that the helmet is always on).
Didn't give a fig about the alternate appearance pack.  I don't like any of the characters enough to spend money on how they look.  Now, if it were Kaidan--You know, he would look hot in black leather armor--lots of panning around to watch his backside.
I HATE the Hammerhead missions.  I can't do them due to sucky hand-eye coordination.  I hate that damn shuttle thing.  Give me back my Mako!
Overlord was good.  But again I hated flying that damn thing.

You know, it would even be interesting if Shepard wasn't in it and you just got to play as the VS in whatever missions they were doing after Horizon.  Kinda like Dragon Age had the Lilliana DLC and the Darkspawn Chronicles that were from and alternate POV.
I'd love to see/play what Kaidan was up to after Horizon.

I agree that the Liara DLC, including the ability to continue romancing her, poses a good chance for VS DLC of similar features. I hope my Shep can reconcile differences and be buds with Kaidan again.

Yes.  You have to play the Kasumi DLC to get into that room since its her quarters.

@Sage:  That is all Kara is going to be doing all over the place is getting drunk.  Horizon is coming up for her.

I wouldn't mind if they added a Wrex mission in a Kaidan/Ash DLC. Then it would contain content for those who didn't romance the VS...and hopefully they would make Kaidan's mission at least a little different than Ashley's so ppl would have a reason to try them all out.

oh oops, forgot some evil ppl out there let Wrex die sooo I guess including that in the DLC wouldn't work for everyone ><

In order to make ME3 as New Player friendly as possible, perhaps there will be "Taking care of Cerberus" DLC to get it out of the way?  I mean, I could see Ashley/Kaidan involved in that... but I can't think of a stand alone, meldable VS loyalty mission like Liara's looks like it's gonna be.

Unless they sold two VS DLC, one for each character. 

... dunno.  Pessimistic.  I really don't like the "Here's a game, now buy this content that should have been in the game/should have had its own expansion disc" to begin with.  Unless they pack everything onto an XBox disc and sell that (which I would be more inclined to buy - since solid data I can keep in the event of no internet/busted hard drive/different xbox, I just...  I guess I really don't like DLC.

I agree, FireEye. There's a difference between tiny dlc with side missions that should have been in the game to begin with and stuff that's truly expansive.

as jade said, yes it is. it's kasumi's room. i love her room. kyrie spends a lot of time there. post horizon she was all pulled together, but the kasumi dlc made her sad and she ended up drinking until EDI directed her to the ladies toilet.

true story.

and jade, i would SO pay for that dlc. or hairstyles. yeah.

and yes! i want Kaidan/Ashley to save shepard.

4/5 times shepard saves the VS. count them with me:

1) (ash only) Saved from geth on eden prime
2) saved from beacon on eden prime
3) Virmire! nuff said
4) "saved" by being ordered off of the normandy during collector attack
5) saved on horizon

seriously! enough with the saving. Shep saves every freakin' body.  VS to save shep! and if it's kaidan doing the saving, let him use biotics and NOT be holding an assault rifle!

I agree that the VS should be doing some saving.

As for the assault rifle... maybe... it was the assault rifle that Ashley left him after Virmire?
