I like it.  Even out of context--especially out of context.

Playing through as male Shep.  I definitely like playing as a girl better.  But the difference is interesting.
The looking over the Citadel conversation--I like Kaidan's adorable stumbling over his tongue to Ash's snarky comment about wearing a skirt and go-go boots. 
Conrad Vernon isn't nearly as skeevy as he was with a femShep (which I liked better)
And the Harkin interaction is more interesting as a femShep, I think.

I was going to buy the Liara DLC regardless.  More ME1 character story (which I prefer to any of the new ME2 characters).  The fact that they are putting LI content into it gives me hope for Kaidan/Ash content down the road.  The Shadowbroker content is a good storyline to be resolved.  The LI part is bonus if you were LI.  This idea of making up with the Alliance could be similar.

Honestly, I was grinning ear to ear yesterday when the DLC was first announced.  The fact that there was romance content made me hopeful, and knowing that the content that will bridge to ME3 is finally coming is great.  

Then I started thinking about the Virmire Survivor's role in ME2, and I got sad and worried quick.  Which is why I'm just going to have to not think about that in order to enjoy the Shadow Broker DLC.  There's no use pulling my hair out over things I can't change.

Ok well you guys kept mentioning Kaidan with facial hair, Im not sure why, but anyway it made wonder what he would look like. Well...I got bored...so I edited his picture to see what I could come up with. Just so you know I have no photo editing skills or software and this was the best I could do with paint and microsoft powerpoint. Anyway thought I might aswell share the mess that I made, maybe you guys will get a laugh too lol

LOL, personally, I believe that there is a perfect length for beards before they get to be hobo-like and unattractive.  Also, they tend to make kissing hazardous, unless you enjoy rugburns.  So I am a beard minimalist.

I am curious, though, if Liara's texture upgrade means that they're planning to further change Kaidan and Ashley in any new appearances or the next game.  I liked the high resolution, weathered version of Kaidan we got on Horizon, but I wouldn't want him changed TOO much.  Maybe bring down the hair bump?  That would be almost sacrilegious at this point...

I must say, there has been a rather remarkable request for Ashley/Kaidan DLC on the liara announcement thread - more than i would have suspected and only half or less of it is coming from people on this thread. while i don't want to derail or detract from liara's moment in the sun, that does make me hope that the devs will see that.

edit: @ teen - agreed, i don't know if we could or should mess with the hair bump at this point.

I think I'll be getting LotSB after they announce something for the VS. After the continual bits of salt in the wound (like with Kasumi's dlc) and the fact that Overlord was meh, I've decided not to bother with ME2 dlc until there's something I know I'll love.

I like the slightly short scruffy barely a beard look like in Shenzi's Kaidan clone. Not so much for a full beard.



And I voiced by my happiness for Liara fans and to play it as well as hope for VS DLC on the thread.

Couldn't VS DLC possibly be "meh" as well?  Especially if they were saved for an epic role in ME3?

Trust me, I'll be thoroughly researching any Bioware product that I might purchase. And I'll talk to people that I know have gotten it rather than trusting website reviews.

You know what would be cool?
If the ME1 LI's got another good sex scene in ME3.  That would give them two to the ME2 LI's one lame-a**ed lovescene.

EDIT:  What would you guys like to see as DLC for the VS survivor?

If I wanted anything (assuming the VS has an epic role in ME3)

• Collaborating on a mission, a la LotSB.  Possibly this could be favour from Anderson to prove your loyalty?  Or, possibly, Cerberus and the Alliance are examining the same situation, like Horizon (except without the Collectors.  Assuming this is a post-SM mission, they'd be seriously handicapped).  Then there's an accidental meet-up, and it would be better to work with VS survivor.
• Date on the citadel, or at least a conversation or two about the reapers.  An extra (extra-long) conversation if you've romanced the VS
• Access a new area of the Citadel.  Or possibly Omega (I really like Omega)
• New combat suit for Shepard
• New casual suit for Shepard

 I imagine something like this would cost at least as much as the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC.

i would like all of this. and 

• new combat casual nekkid suit for the VS.
