Yeah.
I didn't know about the romance subplots when I started the game. I did pick up on the flirting, mind you, and Liara helpfully pointed out how Shepard and Alenko seemed to have a connection, but we didn't go into it intending to romance anyone (or even knowing it was possible).
Didn't make Shepard any less happy, though. :innocent:

I guess I was looking for it. From the moment I heard his voice, I wanted to romance Kaidan. I don't care if there were 10 romance choices. It still would have been him from the first time he opened his mouth.

I did accidentally romance Ashley in ME1. Not Ashley's fault of course - I just would have appreciated that being friendly didn't have to mean romancing her.

I don't know who RazorNightngale is, but I didn't ruin a chance for VS dlc by posting a picture in the Wishlist thread. Just because the image offended you does not mean the devs are going to change their mind regarding any plans for V.S. dlc that may come in the future. Since they are providing Liara fans the chance to further the romance, they will do this with for Ashley and Kaidan, whether in dlc or ME3.
So next time, politely ask some one to take down an image you find offensive, or explain why it makes you upset, rather than flaming a forumite in pm and then blocking them.

The VS DLC post was frequented by a lot of teenage boys, as soon as they see that picture they are going to think that all Kaidan fangirls are slashers and will start the trolling. And as soon as that happens BW will shut down the thread.
I personally have no problem with slash in general. Kaidan/MShep is not my cup of tea, but whatever floats your boat and I have adblocker.

@S/s: OH! Is that what "slash" is? I've heard the term for years, but didn't know what it meant.
@Shavon: I like Thane, too. I found him the most intriguing of the options for femShep in ME2. Won't let myself be a "cheat" statistic for him--yet, though. I will eventually play his romance when ME3 storyline is already set so I don't further hurt poor Kaidan's metrics.

@ RazorNightngale Well, my response to you is public. If you were really worried about teenage boys bashing Kaidan, it would have been more helpful to state that, rather than the inappropriate pm that was sent. For all you know, I am a gay man, who has been a long supporter of m/m romances, particularly between Shepard and Kaidan. I am not, nor have i ever been a slasher. Kaidan is my favorite character, and I feel strongly that m/m romances should not be cut just because it makes the shooter crowd Bw and Ea are trying to cater to with ME3 a little uncomfortable. So, I show my support often. At first I edtied my post, to be more sensitive to people who may be offended by the image, then changed my mind again. If certain forumites can't handle an image, because of m/m content, then they are not mature enough to play this game.
I also shouldn't even respond to you at this point, because I am still uncertain as to what you are playing at, but because I made this public in the Kaidan thread, here is your response. Not in pm.

This thread is for people who like Kaidan, to discuss Kaidan-related topics. If some of them want m/m content in future games or DLC, that's fine, I think. We shouldn't worry what people who dislike Kaidan will say or do based on what we post here. Every character has his or her detractors.
I personally like "platonic" Kaidan the best, but there are lots of people here who like romantic Kaidan. There's room for everybody. Supporting Kaidan in every capacity is to the benefit of all.
