I'm sorry to hear that you've had a rough time lately. We've got some awesome threads on the KAAS where we're linking to different fan works and our lovely off-topic threads as well as some ahem *sekrits*.

Personally, I don't recommend any dlc except maybe for the Kasumi one (sexy black dress and new gal pal ftw). Overlord was okay but it was much less story and there were long hammerhead sequences.

DLC: I can only really recommend Kasumi, since it's the only one I bought.  I mostly like Kasumi and the first half of the mission is fun.  I don't know why we have a thief along, but I do like thieves (and if I remember right, Kasumi is pretty much the only character my Shepard connected with on a personal level, so there's that).

Also, Kasumi would tease the heck out of Kaidan, and fun would be had by all.

This happened to me!  I knew there was not supposed to be a same sex relationship in KOTOR, but then I could've sworn Juhani was hitting on me!  I looked, but could not find any confirmation online.  I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought there was something going on there.

Back to Kaidan, I suppose some people may not have gotten the "am I reading you right?" conversation from him, but it does still baffle me that they didn't see the romance coming.    Oh man, that's my favorite conversation with him and I cannot remember the lines!  

There wasn't anything subtle about the Juhani thing.  It was flat out asking if wanted a relationship.  I liked the character, so I had talked to her a lot.  I liked bringing her on missions.  Heck, she was a friggin cat!  I love cats!  But getting hit on in the process of trying to get the Carth romance fix mod working (which I never could) took me by surprise.

Since I mentioned cats and to get back on topic:

Ah, you were modding for a m/m relationship with Carth, yes?  I thought you were talking about a female Revan...  Juhani is not openly asking, but she certainly flirts if you are friendly throughout the game with her (if you are female).

As for my husband going as Kaidan for Halloween, he may not be a perfectly convincing replica of Kaidan, but he will be MY Kaidan.    He sure was hot as Han Solo a couple years ago!    I just don't know if I'll be able to pull off the costumes...  Anyone know of any ME costuming sites?  PM me, please! 

No.  It was the femRev fix so that she could get her kiss with Carth.

I recommend Kasumi's.  Yes.  It has the best romance content of ME2.  I just felt my femShep could relate to her since Kasumi also understands the pain of losing someone you love.
I liked Overlord even despite the Hammerhead flying.  I think the story was good--just tangential to the main story.

Kasumi. She's funny, has good line, has an entertaining mission, and brings a little black dress, a friggin' awesome sub-machine gun, and a drinks bar as gifts. 

Zaeed is okay. he's ugly and the default "badass mercenary". his mission features a few badass moments for the paragon, which is fun when you usually only get to attack people as a renegade. he has a flame thrower and a garbage disposal for gifts.

Overlord - just downloaded it. haven't played it.

don't really recommend any of the armor. it's boring, imo.

The only armor I like from DLC is the Blood Dragon armor from DA.
And I bought the laser directed weapons. Don't recommend them. At all.

Agreed, Kasumi DLC. It's the only one I've paid for so far. Didn't get Overlord because I hear its seriously lacking squad banter and that would irritate me.

well we *are*, but the haters just can't help themselves. they're still mad that femshep prefers "mature, reticent badasses" as chemlight said, to gamers who would like to "put a bullet in someone's head" for thinking that joining terrorists is a bad idea.
