She's the one who put her twitter ID on a public podcast. She's gotta know that she's gonna get feedback. Besides, isn't she like the token female of the devs?
And I'm sure she in on discussions with the other devs. I'm going to check and be more vocal as well.

EDIT:  We need a Kaidan photo.  Where's that one of him in the towel?  I like that one.
For now I'll put this one up.

Oh, I'm vocal. I'm just afraid poor Christina Norman gets tired of me. She's the gameplay designer and isn't responsible for Kaidan but I don't know who else to vocalize it to. They won't tell us who writes Kaidan's stuff...probably because I would really drive them crazy then :P

Yeah I meant its a good thing that you are =) She's a game developer on a popular public site, I'm sure shes use to it, not like she really even has to read it all either

@alenko - a kaidan print is a good idea as well.

@brodyaha - what was your shirt concept?

Yes!  That one!  Thanks.  Posted Image

Hey.  Can we get  ^this^ put on a tee?  'Cause none of the other male characters would look that good in only a towel!

What was Brodyaha's idea for a shirt?

I still like the top pic better. It's more of a lean muscle look, the towel one is a little too buff for my taste. The biceps and abs and pecs are bulkier. I still stare though~

Never thought Kaidan was naive. Did think he was an optimist, though. (I don't know if I'm on the right track but I know that sometimes people confuse "having faith that everything will turn out for the best and/or not letting life get you down" with "hasn't been ground down enough by life - they'll learn.")

I don't think he's naive, but misguided from my pov regarding the council. The aliens are fine, but the council is disturbingly all-powerful and inept.

IDEALIST!  That's the word I was trying to find earlier and just couldn't grasp.  *Slaps self in head*
I think some of that optomism/idealism has been burned out of him by ME2, though.  Although the idealism part is still there in his faith in the Alliance.  And there are flickers of optomism still in his letter--heck, the fact that he sent the letter at all shows that there's a flicker of hope in him.

@Quaay:  Hmm...never really noticed much difference in the pics.  Guess I was just too preoccupied with how precariously that towel sits on his hips.  Posted Image
But you're probably right.  The pecs might be a bit more Alistair-ish.
Then there's this one:

Definitely more lean muscle here.
And pants that are falling off.  Posted Image

when kaidan's relaying his jump zero story, he mentions it was vyrnnus who made me see how human aliens are. they're not different or special, they're jerks or saints. just like us. i always took him as a very hopeful person that sees good in everyone until their deeds alter his opinion. however, he does not let negative life experiences change him. instead choosing to learn and grow from them.

I love that about him. I try to keep his attitude in mind when I play. I still have hopes that not all Reapers are evil lol. We've already seen that there can be good and bad Geth, good and bad Rachni...so why not? Posted Image

I'm finding it more and more difficult to try to tease out interpretations of how Kaidan has and has not changed in two years from a single angry encounter and a bird's eye view on how colonists are maltreating him.  And not from lack of trying.

Never thought of that before--that there might be good Reapers.  Huh.  Interesting notion.

I do love that about him as well.  And like I said above, I was trying to find a word.  I knew naive wasn't the right one, but I couldn't think of the one I wanted.  Idealistic is the one I was looking for.
That he tries to keep an open mind about things and people despite what he's been through is a lovely quality of his.

@Collider:  Yes.  We definintely need another Kaidan avatar.  Ash has two.

Why does the fact that Kaidan is just a good person seem to grate on people?  Why does that = "whiny" or "wuss" to them?  If they were to have a best friend or a significant other, wouldn't they want that person to have a lot of the qualities that Kaidan has?  Once again, I don't get it.

It was for a realistic-looking, glowing biotic heart that says, "You make me feel human."

A friend recently made a Mass effect reference at me that ended with him saying "We could kill Kaidan.  Nobody likes him anyway."  This is a great example.  I really have no idea why though...<_<

I don't think it's so much that he's a good person. Most male gamers do not find him interesting. This is partly because male Shepard can't really be buds with Kaidan (although he acts like I bromanced him on Horizon). He doesn't have Wrex's war stories either. Kaidan is a soldier - it would have been nice to hear how he earned his medals - Chakwas says he is very well decorated. He doesn't have to beat his chest while doing it, but it would nice to hear.
