Random question: Does anyone else think that Tyrone Power (film star from the 30s and 40s) had Kaidan tendencies?

Posted Image

Close, actually. That looks like a teenage Kaidan. Before he became Randy Cox. >_O

What movies was he in... although the only film star I can recall is Grant. I love Mother Goose.

to Siansonea: Yes, I can see some resemblance. I love the old movie stars.

So, Kaidan and my muse finally worked it out and seem to be getting along just fine.  Posted Image

Oh, he was in a ton of movies back in the day, he was quite the matinee idol apparently. The movie that made me notice his Kaidan tendencies was The Black Swan from 1942. Here's Power's IMDb page:

We now know where Kaidan went after BAaT?  XD

*Shrugs*  Well, he is from Vancouver.  Posted Image

I just went through the dialogue with the mShep again and compared it to the corresponding femShep dialogue.  Holy Crow!  Its waaaayyyyyy different.  No wonder some guys don't get Kaidan.
I figured that he would be giving mShep the same advice that he gives femShep.  But he doesn't at all.  He mentions Conatix and his distrust of them, that he wouldn't ever let them refit him with the L3.  He mentions Vyrnnus, but doesn't go into the story.
He does say when mShep says that Conatix must have done something right because of how Kaidan turned out, Kaidan replies that it was because of his own initiative that he is what he is.
I still don't get the whiny thing.  He mentions his headaches:  "I'll have a better handle on all of it [the crew feelings on the Council stonewalling Shepard] when my head stops hurting.  Another L2 flare-up."
But, if anything, Kaidan acts more "macho" about his past.  He's definitely softer with femShep.
Wow, does this man have layers!  Posted Image

THE reason is the s/s human LOVE INTEREST, Male Shepard can NOT romance Kaidan:wub: (sigh:(). The Renegade part (Vyrnnus, council etc) is where FemShep turns Kaidan Renegade and MaleShep has NO option (damn BW, gives the ONE finger salute) to do that; unless BW FIXES that issue in ME3 (all the required decisions are there in ME1 & 2). I'm sure the same applies to Ashley & MaleShep/FemShep with no s/s LI option with FemShep. Liara is "monogendered" (ie alien female) that only has daughters, there are no male Asari.

I knew that the dialogue would be different.  But I didn't realize that in such an early conversation Kaidan opened up to femShep so much more than to just his CO  It does give me even more appreciation of the man's subtlety--I mean, some of what he tells femShep isn't that personal really.  But it must feel like it to him.

And I'm sure the headache is there when he talks to her as well.  But he covers for it.  Hell.  He's so stoic at times, how would you know?  Perhaps that is what the little rain cloud  really was--his headache.  Poor darling.

@Tyrone Power:  Lovely eyes.  And is that a hair bump?  Posted Image  He's a bit too pretty.  Kaidan's a little more rugged.  Perhaps like was stated--when he was younger and hadn't quite filled out completely.

I love some of the old male stars:  Carey Grant, Jimmy Stewart, Clark Gable.  The Philadelphia Storyis a favorite.  Oh!  What a dilemma.  To have to choose between Grant, Stewart and some other nameless fellow.  *happy sigh*  Posted Image

Oh, is it troll time? Not even literate enough to form a coherent sentence. Yawn.

Your art is lovely, Chignon. Is that digital or pen and paper? Either way, I'm impressed.

Thanks, fortunesque.  What's it with the trolling? Posted Image

And thanks, Shavon and TeenZombie. It's a pencil sketch. I only clean up the scan and colours with GIMP.

Btw, Chignon, I usually don't comment on artwork, BUT! I do love how you were able to convey Kaidan's heart-melting eyes.

That is all :)

@Chignon....I love the shading and light, particularly along the jaw and cleft in his chin. The eyes are beautiful...they look a bit angry...like Horizon I-just-found-out-my-not-so-dead-girlfriend-is-working-for-Cerberus angry...but beautiful and expressive.

I have no idea but that was completely uncalled for. It's one thing to troll and hate on a character but they attacked another user. I have half the mind to report them.

You shouldn't bother; he's had his moment. People who act like that are simply more work than their worth.

True. But I get really defensive of my fellow artists. When people say stuff like that, they have no idea how much they could be discouraging others from doing more work. It's complete bullcrap. <_<

You're right, of course. But with all the lovely encouragement  here, it doesn't really matter.

(Though, I understand you better now when you say that you usually keep to this thread.)

Thank you. He certainly wasn't being very helpful the first times I tried to draw him! Posted Image

The guy probably has a right hand for a girlfriend. So he has nothing better to do. Instead, he should learn from Kaidan what women like in their men. ;)

i think boys on this forum are jealous of the attention lavished upon kaidan by female gamers.

@chigon - you did a great job capturing kaidan's expression and the intricate details in your sketch are amazing.

Best way to get back at a troll.

Ignore them and have fun with the charachter that they dont like.

Also telling them that you are doing that helps relieve some stress, and just makes troll esplode.

Seriously though the trolls are nothing here compared to other sites I have been on.
