"Following the attack on the Citadel Kaidan remained with the Alliance
serving on the Normandy and assisting in wiping out pockets of Geth
resistance across the galaxy."
vs.
"Following the rescue of the Citadel, Ashley remained with Commander
Shepard on the Normandy as they scoured the galaxy eliminating the
remaining Geth forces."
So... ignoring the obvious, does this mean that ME2 Default FemShep has a Renegade mentality while Default ME2 ManShep has a Paragon mentality? Or would it be the other way around? Do you judge by the attitude towards the Citadel or the attitude towards the Geth? XD
Whew... So, Kaidan gets less information, but his is more flattering... if vague. Also there is mention of how "he was recruited to join the Normandy and serve under Commander Shepard."

I'll be down here if you need me. XD

No, the issue is that us "boys" can not have an LI WITH Kaidan, we're forced to take either Ash, Liara or be celibatesiriusrambles wrote...

@chigon - you did a great job capturing kaidan's expression and the intricate details in your sketch are amazing.
OR
forced to play as a female impersonator FemShep to romance Kaidan

Er... wait, so you suspect that the intermittent, would-be agitators such as cihimi are annoyed at the lack of same-sex romances in Mass Effect and are taking it out on their fellow Kaidan fen? (Man, I knew the lack of homosexual options in ME was frustrating, but I had no idea.)
And... now I want to make a female-impersonator Shep. Strange how the mind works...
Anyway! Might I interest you in some unsanctioned-by-BioWare Kaidan kisses as drawn by someone with more artistic talent than I? It isn't a fix by any means, I know, but...

Why not? He's such a sweet romance.
But I'll give Ashley, Tali, and Miranda a chance with my MShep instead.

Second'ed FTW!
Bravo, Fort! Yet another reason we encounter Kaidan-hating boys is because mature, intelligent, well-spoken women gravitate to worthy men such as he. Truly, thank you for the use of your crowd-controlling talents.
@Chignon: Whoa! Oh my... oh my goodness! Another one so soon? You spoil us!
How do you catch the dreamy essence of his eyes? I'm swooning over here - no lie. Like a previous poster said, the subtle shading and texture are marvelous. I particularly like the personal tweaks you've given him. He's very nearly spot-on, but you leave traces of your own artistic touch on him. It's a very unique flavor.
Mmm... Kaidan-flavored. <3
I haven't been around to enjoy all 2200 pages of this thread, but has there ever been a discussion of what Kaidan's favorite ice-cream flavor might be? Generic, yes, but now that it's in my head...

Kaidan stays with the Alliance
Ash stays with Shepard
For Kaidan, I think it's relavent to his reaction on Horizon.
At least they changed it a bit for the two characters.

Well, Kaidan is more supportive of the Alliance than Ashley is.
I don't know about more "supportive", but I would expect that he's more adept at working with bureaucrats and politicians, as an officer. Ashley obviously cares about being a good soldier, and is loyal to the Alliance, but I could see her being more amenable to breaking rules in order to get a job done.
Which is yet another reason why Horizon sucks. I really don't think Ashley would have the same outlook about Shepard working with Cerberus as Kaidan would. But we've discussed this a million times.
Something I was thinking about this past weekend is stuff I hope Shepard gets to talk about with Kaidan in ME3. I would really like to see Virmire addressed again, even if it's a short conversation. It was a huge event in the first game, but after the one awkward scene where you have to say "I couldn't stand losing you" in front of the whole crew, it's never spoken about again. Does Kaidan feel guilty, two years later, especially if he was in a relationship with Shepard? Stuff like that is important, if they're not going to "reset" Ashley or Kaidan, and you actually get to talk to them as though you have a history, instead of asking them questions as though you've never met before. I really hope they don't go that route.

Yes, a talkthrough of Virmire would be interesting, though it is discussed enough IMO in a post mission debriefing. Maybe something like, "I left someone on Virmire and then I ended up leaving you on the Normandy. Sometimes the guilt has been unbearable."
I actually like this thought Fort!

You can also talk about it to the survivor afterwards... But I agree - it would definitely be nice to talk about Virmire or at least about whoever you left behind at some point down the road.
