I'd post the male-shep kaidan pic but i don't have it. so i'll post akodo's stuff instead.

friendly benefits
edit: what is that on his arm? did kaidan get a rug burn, or can we assume that's from virmire?

1. Kaidan as a squad mate in ME3, and a happy ending. Yes, I want my rainbows and unicorns Shenko ending, damn it.
2. No sign of phoenix armour anywhere near him
3. In the slim hope that we get Kaidan related dlc, I hope that its well thought out and well written, not something cobbled together quickly for the sake of fanservice, and writing that actually makes Shepard seem human rather than the emotionless robot (or village idiot if you prefer) she came across as on Horizon when talking to Kaidan.
4. Gratuitous manabschest (edit : fixed for Fort

@ sesh/fort - these ideas are very good. all we need now is a "comb down the hair-bump" mini game and the VS DLC is ready to go.

I know, what's with wearing sunglasses indoors? I thought we were meant to be tracking down the Collectors, but apparently (judging by the DLC attire) we're all traipsing off to some kind of intergalactic rave party. Perhaps the next DLC will go the whole hog and provide us with glow sticks and overpriced bottles of water.
Sesh I agree with all your demands. I hated Robot Shep on Horizon!

QFT. I want the chance to have a rainbows and butterflies ME3 ending. With all LIs, hopefully. And I would prefer no Phoenix armor, period, but it actually looks good on Ash.
On another note, I'm playing MShep, and I have a bromance thing going with Kaidan. What I like about him is that he is different as friend. Sure, he mentions Vyrnnus, and Rahna, and whatnot, but there's also extra dialogue, and he seems a bit more...opinionated.? Strong-headed? I like these differences!
He's more gentle with my Femsheps, treading on broken glass to not to offend them in the hopes of impressing them, it seems.

Sweet! Thank you, I didn't know this! It's a relief that I won't need to waste $20-40 to get back ruined DLC.
It's hard to back up those files to small memory units--luckily I can do that with some game saves (losing all my Shepards would be even more tragic).

Agreed! I like rainbows...and unicorns...and gratuitous manabchests.....
But really after all these years I need a conclusion to the Kaidan/Shepard story, and it better be a good one. Though 'good' is something different for most players I'm sure

And you know, I'm kind of scared Cerberus/TIM will go for Kaidan and try to hurt him, or, do something for payback (that is to say if you destroyed the Collector's base and told him to gtfo).
Oh TIM, you're ON.

Should they go down that road, I'll be even more pleased to go after TIM. Which I really want to do regardless of whatever kaidan related angle they come up with
Think there's a good chance of TIM going after Kaidan to regain control of Shepard in some twisted way, maybe that'll be our DLC who knows. Though I am unsure about how I will feel about such a DLC where you have to rescue Kaidan/Ash and the the oppertunity to put the romance back on track. I mean we already rescued him on Horizon...would love to see him rescue Shep this time around
I wouldn't mind a DLC to put it all back on track, but not one where you kiss and make up in a single mission. I mean a lot has happened, I would think they need time to work things out. Then again time seems to be the one thing they never have

@ Bro: replied to the Shep-char development thread, but going to make this point here, too:
I've mentioned before that I think ME1 reads like a novel and ME2 like a collection of short stories. I think part of what is so weird about Horizon is that as a short story, it just sort of...ends. It's like you get to the end of the Horizon short story, which is a good, heartbreaking short story - and then...nothing. You can't follow up with the people you want to talk to, you can't do much at all. You get this tiny chapter of Shep getting an email and staring at a picture OR you start a new short story with a new LI.
I hope a VS DLC would be a good short story to echo the one that was Horizon. I think a lot of it is that the "inbetween" parts of the short story collection that is ME2 - the time on the ship - is a bit strained. in ME1, chatting with the crew developed alongside the ME1 novel-line linear narrative. ME2 below-decks banter can be hilarious - kasumi and mordin come to mind - but other times it's jsut a little odd. lots of easter eggs, but no real linear story or character development. or a lot of stopping in to feed my fish, but choppy sense of the crew growing as a team. very odd that.
anyhow, i hope a VS DLC would let shep star as a character again, with the VS by his/her side - as a friend or lover
@Nick: friends with benefits? Come on. Ash and Kaidan deserve better than that. And Kaidan doesn't go for casual relationships like that anyways.
And yup. My Kimbri is an adept. Cool photo.
Her voice is emotionless except when talking to Jacob. *shudders*Sesheta

Yeah. I've noticed the difference in him, too. He's more closed with mShep--he seems to open up more with femShep. Funny how he mentions having a migraine to mShep, but for the same conversation with femShep he doesn't mention it. I'll have to go back and find what mShep convo that is so that I can look at that convo with femShep again, realizing he has a headache whie speaking with her.Brody

In general, it seems like he's more...geez what word am I looking for? Its like he's gotta be more "manly" with mShep--more macho? (Not quite the word I'm looking for).
But he's more gentle and nurturing with femShep.
Yeah. Its all on EA's server.Brody

And I bought all of those thumb drives the other day to back up my game saves and stupid Xbox! You can only use Xbox thumbdrives.
I want a happy ending for my faithful Sheps. But I would also be okay if they made different endings--like in DA. Where perhaps the ending might be different if you weren't faithful. Or if different choices were made. As long as there was an "Riding into the sunset" ending possible--especially for our faithful gals (and guys). And engagement or wedding would really be nice.Jho

No. No more saving Kaidan. He's a strong man, darn it! He isn't some damsel in distress. Speaking of which, I saw that the LotSB plotline has Shepard rescuing Liara again. That makes me worried that they will do this for the VS if they do DLC. But Liara has only needed to be rescued once--now twice. We certainly don't need a 5th time rescuing the VS!Jho

I really want the table turned. I want Kaidan to rescue Shepard. I want him to be more of her equal. Not her puppy. Shepard has fish and a hamster if she wants a pet.
And I agree that for the DLC that it should just be a stepping stone for getting the romance back on track--not a full resolution. Perhaps as much as a kiss, but more would just lessen what their relationship is. Its not a hook-up like I felt some of the ME2 romances were.

I often dress Garrus in Phoenix , UGLY you bet (and in ME2 he is an LI option, WTF)! This play thru, I recruited Wrex first, Wrex killed Fist, and Garrus is left standing in C-Sec waiting to join Shepard and it's NOT gonna happen.Jade5233 wrote...

You know, my mShep has been romancing both Ash and Liara (I'm not playing as a guy a second time and wanted to see as much as possible) and I was fully expecting the confrontation after Noveria. It didn't happen. Next up is Vermire and no confrontation. Its odd. I hope I didn't mess up my romance with Liara since that's the reason I'm doing a mShep playthrough at all. But both women made references to what they would like to do with him, so I thought he was on track. *shrugs*Collider wrote...
Non-romance Shepards get more friendship content with Ashley (although male Shepard has to be a jerk to Ashley in order not to romance her), than they do with Kaidan.

I still haven't made a playthrough where I save Ashley. It's like you said, I cant not save Kaidan. I saved Kaidan the first time I played the game and it's going to be hard for me to change that

And considering that even putting Kaidan on another team (for variety) gave me panic attacks, there's no way I could kill him. He's Kaidan!

I thought Ashley's romance was well enough (though I like Kaidan better and I like his romance better), but it was a bit on the subtle side - I didn't even know I was romancing her until she was talking about "pre-Ilos activities", so to speak. That's intesting. I like the ME1 characters best.
Liara's romance, well, wasn't of my personal taste. Too fast, not enough build up. Liara swooning over Shepard when you moment you meet her for the first time, while "cute," doesn't really strike me as making an interesting romance interest. She's a nice person though.
I'd rank Ashley as second best romance for M!Shepard - just as a matter of opinion. Not an Ashley fan per se, though.
ME2 romances? My favorites are Thane, Garrus, and Tali. I felt Miranda's was too focused on physical appearance, I wished Shepard had acted with more respect in Jack's romance, and you all know the story with Jacob.
Dragon Age trumps both games in that the romances are longer and more involved.
I alternate between putting Kaidan on the other team and not putting him on the other team, but I always save him.And considering that even putting Kaidan on another team (for variety) gave me panic attacks, there's no way I could kill him. He's Kaidan!

You know, I was thinking with the short-story collection that is ME2, I think what was so weird about Horizon is that it's like a recruitment mission gone wrong.
Every other character goes like Recruitment-->Loyalty:
Arcangel Base --> Eye for an Eye
Dantius Towers --> Sins of the Father
etc.
Heck, even Freedom's Progress is like Shep's recruitment and then the Suicide Mission is the echo to that. So while it isn't a perfect pairing every time, every other mission has this sort of bookend to it.
Liara's stuff isn't quite as hard for me as Horizon, because it doesn't feel like a mission. It didn't set itself up with that expectation.
But Horizon starts out just like so many other recruitment missions, just with more weight behind it and then it just...stops cold. You can't recruit the VS, you can't resolve things with them. It's like you screwed up somehow and you just can't figure out where. So it's like you've got these paired short stories and then one just hanging in the middle with no resolution. Sort of like a chunk of the book got torn out.
Okay, yeah. My thought for the morning. Point is, I want a VS DLC, or some seriously resolution in ME3.
