Sorry to be such a downer Jho.  Its after 1am and I'm sitting here writing emo dribble so my mood isn't one for sunshine and roses, or hope at this point, lol.

Kaidan's waiting but he's starting to get impatient for some love from the devs

Series? What series? It all ended after Shep defeated the Sovereign and she and her lieutenant enjoyed their deserved shore leave.  Posted Image

haha no kidding. Trilogy? Really??

Well, if Bioware can act like Mass Effect games are all stand-alone then so can we, right? Posted Image

Exactly. And they've said that they want ME3 to be n00b accessible as well.

I understand Sesh :) Kaidan sure isn't the only impatient one, I can tell you that. It's a wonder I haven't gone mental in the past months :P

And to think Norman twittered something not too long ago about loving that Bioware also puts time into less played options. Yeah, right.

It depends on what you mean by "time". Because Horizon apparently was an "important role".

Yes, Kaidan went cross-eyed with all the importance he had.

Well, this confirms my suspicions.
I thought I was just seeing things on Horizon when Kaidan was talking to Shepard.

*sad face*

No, you weren't just seeing things, Brodyaha. As if the sloppy writing wasn't enough, Kaidan fans were also gifted with lazy animations. Same goes for Ash fans.Bioware saying they were doing it to "save" them for ME3 doesn't excuse any of this.

Yep. He's so important that he:

-Wore phoenix armor
-Went crosseyed
-Shared lines with his foil
-Is not discussed by any of his former teammates
-Was left out of any mention in the Kasumi dlc while Liara was mentioned
-Was left out of a tshirt poll while dlc and side characters were included
-Was left out of any mention in the Liara dlc while Shepard reminisces about her

It's obvious that the VS is extremely important to Bioware.

The whole Horizon cameo really left me with the impression that it was just tacked on as an afterthought. I really think the whole 'saving Kaidan/Ash for a big role in ME3' thing was spin, pure and simple. I'm sure Bioware thought we'd all forget about them and jump into the 'awesome' ME2 romances.

This essentially nullifies my hope for ME3 and other possible DLCs. I guess I'm with you on buying it used, fortunesque.

Well, I'll try and keep optimistic. But it's getting increasingly hard to.
But seriously, Liara's an information broker (haven't played LotSB yet, so just going with her role in the main ME2 game)--SURELY she'd have some info about Kaidan and Ashley?  And BW didn't include that?
I just hope, if Lair of the Shadow Broker is popular, that BW will consider making some for Ashley and Kaidan.
If there's absolutely no DLC featuring Ashley and Kaidan by the time ME3 comes out...then I might also consider buying it used.
I've already spent an extra $20 on DLC, if I'm supporting them and asking nicely...:S
Maybe I'm having entitlement issues.  But the stats issue, the lack of VS DLC, the lack of mention of Kaidan and Ashley throughout the DLC (from what was said on this thread) AND pretty much all of ME2...disheartening.
I still think ME2 is a great game, but something's missing.  And it's Kaidan (and Ashley...but mostly Kaidan).

Well, in that respect Liara is just like Kasumi, who for some reason notices Morinth, but not Shep's relationship with Ash or Kaidan.

EDIT:

It seems Bioware is as good at remembering Ashley/Kaidan are important characters as they are at uploading DLC for PC users in a timely fashion.

@Brody

I don't think this is an entitlement issue. It's about fairness and the VS fans haven't gotten any semblance of fairness in regards to how the VS has been treated.

No, all we've been getting is a giant middle finger so far.
(Sorry, I'm just very, very disappointed today. Posted Image)

I don't think it's an entitlement issue to see ONLY two squadmates out of a cast of seventeen ignored this way.  Throw in the fact that they are romanceable characters, and it's natural that *somebody* is going to care about them.  Bioware treating them this way is just baffling.  I keep going back to wondering, is this their not so subtle way of telling us to expect nothing (except maybe another email and a mention in the end slides) for Kaidan/Ashley in ME3?  I don't think I'm being greedy for just wanting to know if I'm wasting my time hoping for something good in future DLC or the next game.

I still have a tiny shred of hope of something coming up in regards to the VS. While it's fading fast, it's still there at the moment.

Can't say I'm surprised by the fact that no-one mentions Kaidan in the dlc. The way things are going it wouldn't surprise me if Kaidan's so called big role in ME3 is to be in charge of the ship that rams the main reaper and helps Shepard defeat them, sacrificing himself to save her.

No No No!

Like I do with KOTOR.  The second one never happend.  My jedi would never have left Carth.  If she had to go, she would have taken him with her.  So KOTOR doesn't exist for me.

I HATE that ! It’s as if you’re watching « The return of the jedi » without having watched « A new hope » ! I frankly
don’t get people who play sequels without having played the first games. Heck, I did the effort to play ME1 before ME2, even though ME2 was already out -_-

All this talk is depressing me. Bioware wouldn’t do this to us. Right… ? RIGHT ?:crying:
