I'd settle for that if it meant some more content with Kaidan. Just... Let me hear his voice. T-T

Sometimes I get the feeling they are retconning Ash and Kaidan's romance.

"Romance? What romance? It was just a deep friendship!"

...you mean, playing LotSB doesn't set you on the "dump absentee love interest for Liara, who clearly loves you more" plotline?

Color me shocked!  :o

(Okay, now I'm being a jerk - consider my sarcasm privileges revoked.)

Honestly, I wouldn't mind if it were a deep and meaningful friendship with casual
future space-sex on the side at this point, if they would simply let the characters exist again.  Why is searching for Kaidan is like searching for the Loch Ness Monster?  [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/wondering.png[/smilie]

I wish I had a witty retort, FireEye, but I haven't because Bioware doesn't seem to give a **** about PC users.

(I mean, are you serious? After all the oh so compelling ME2 LI's, are they really trying to shove your Shep in Liara's direction?)

I honestly don't know how you could do a DLC like that for the Liara lovers and then do nothing for the VS. That DLC had absolutely everything I could want in a Kaidan DLC. I have to say that it would be more than a slap in the face if Liara was able to rekindle her romance and get a full romance scene and we got nothing. My gosh, I know they've pretty much completely ignoring their existence, but man, it would be slap in the face if we got nothing after that.

That's exactly what I mean. ¬_¬ I've got five new careers started on ME1 just so I can talk to Kaidan again. ****** him off, smooth-talk him, renegade him or just swoon over him when he... tinkers... xD I wish they'd just throw us a goddamned bone! >_<

(Nah.  It just feels to me that Liara is the closest thing to a default LI there was in ME1, and she's obviously still hung up about Shepard regardless of whether you romance her or not; I'd expect her to still be a bit smitten, but I'd actually be a bit surprised if they did force you in that direction...)

No, they're not. There was never any indication that they'd try to get Liara and Shep together.

So I think the general consensus that I've gathered from folks that have the dlc is this:

Get it if you love Liara and want to have a bunch of Liara action. That's kind of a given since it's Liara dlc. If you expected anything as a bonus about the VS, you won't get anything. If you had an ME2 LI then you can talk to Liara a little bit about them. So if you're 'meh' about Liara, it's probably not a recommended purchase.

I'm keeping my expectations low with VS content for my own sanity.

I don't think we're being ignored, but if there really is something in the works, they should've told us by now. ¬_¬ And there's not really any reason for not making a Kaidan DLC now!

As for LotSB; I wouldn't have called the romance scene "full". I won't spoil it, but it is certainly lacking. Bioware should hire me for sex. I'm good at it. That sounds wrong, but I'm sure you all know what I mean. I wanna show 'em how Kaidan should be... uh... "treated." ;D

to FireEye & fortunesque: Thanks for answering. I was worried there for a second. I wouldn't put it past Bioware to do something like that.

I also wish for there to be a Liara DLC walkthrough that has no commentary. Just *something* so I don't have to hear a guy cussing every couple seconds because it makes him sound so cool.

Oh, I can't forget sexual remarks either!

Can't be a bad thing, though, now can it? :o I sure wouldn't mind getting a bit rough with Kaidan. ;D

I would hate to skip it. It is a really good DLC, as in the best Bioware's ever done. But if you don't like Liara, then you won't like this DLC because there is a lot of Liara. However, if you're even lukewarm on Liara then I would suggest getting it. I also think this DLC will be a trigger to later missions.

I did also find something interesting under the Dossiers terminal in the Shadowbroker's lair. It has your squad and other characters and descriptions. Again no Kaidan or Ashley, but under Hackett's information it did say that "A deep undercover operative would be replacing his current aide in two months." It seemed a bit out of place and also the mention of the specific time period. Maybe it's nothing, but you have to eventually deal with your alliance relationship if you want to take on the reapers. They have the biggest army in the galaxy. And what better way than through the VS?

I've gotten the negatives out now. Methinks for the rest of the night we should make lewd and suggestive comments about Kaidan. :wizard:

Hey guys, Kai is mentioned in the SB stuff, at the end, if you pick the Frustrated option. Its not happy though. My kai shep hasnt been thru ME2 yet so its comming as a comment toward a friend, not LI. Got to wonder if it will be different with Adrian. Might be.

You know, I don't have a twitter acct but I'm tempted to get one so I can pester the devs.

Do it!  Girl power!

Now wait just a minute.  Over the weekend, people were saying that they would be happy if the DLC even had one line mentioning the Vs in it.  Now you all are discontent that's all there it.  It wasn't supposed to be a DLC for Kaidan.  This is Liara's DLC.

And no.  I don't think they would have announced the VS DLC already if they were woking on it.  the announcement came out for LotSB when?  Not until a month-and-a-half ago or so.  And we know that it was already in the works--that they had worked on it a while back because of the hidden sound files.  I wouldn't expect BW to announce anything for a while yet--especially not until a while after the LotSB DLc died down quite a bit.  They wouldn't want to steal the thunder from a current DLC with an announcement for another DLC.

And thanks, Yoship for that tidbit.  I would assume that is the VS as well.

As far as kaidan doing it hard and having mass effect fields to help--LOL.  I wrote something about that.  I'll have to let you all know when I finally post that chapter up--but it will be a while.
