 Hey all! Sorry I was gone for so long! I had a lot to do last week preparing for PAX and then I, well, went to PAX  I hung a lot at the bioware booth, taking pictures with them (I'll upload some later, if any are interested). I know it was technically the Dragon Age 2 booth, but a lot of the guys there had also worked on Mass Effect 2 and so I got to talk to them about both games, which was really a lot of fun. 

The presenter, I think his name was David Silverman? for the demo said during his speech that the teams to peruse the forums and listen to what the fans want. So... maybe, just maybe, that means that they've seen how epic our thread is, how much we love Kaidan, and how much we desire some sort of resolution -- and they'll give that to us. A girl can only hope.  

Now, I have a lot of DLC and fanfiction writing to catch up on! I actually got some messages from my readers demanding moar chapters.  So, I'm off to do that! PAX kind of interrupted my normal flow of doing things, but I should be back on track in no time, creating Shenko art, writing Shenko fanfiction, and diving into the gutter with all of you. I'll bring the martinis.

I'm sorry, but the "Kaidan fans are older than the other LI fans" thing is false. I'm not sure who started off saying it, but it's simply not true. 

I did some math about 3 months ago in the KAAS and the average age was 24. The two most common ages were 22 and 26. The Kaidan fans are not a collective of older women; we're of every age and location. 

This isn't railing against you... it's just a false assumption that lots of folks make that is't true. As to why there's less Kaidan fanart and more Garrus art, it just comes down to numbers. More people like Garrus than Kaidan.

Makes me a little sad that the Tali thread is gone :'( but I'm glad you guys have your thread and that's doing swell. There might still be some Bioware people covertly watching in my group, anyhow.

The SB DLC was reviewed on IGN by a woman who romanced Kaidan and Ashley and she expressed her desire for K&A DLC too! Woooot~

Well I dont think the number of fanart on one site counts towards the fanbase.



I think its more that Garrus is a Compassionate Renegade/Bad Cop/Broken person that gives him his fanbase.(His Dossier in LOTSB is awsome).



I like Kaidan just fine, its folks with a giant cerberus lovin ego who seem to have problems with him.

HUH! Somebody does agree with me uterrly tehy sukz!. Or people who thought he was Carth (though he isint) and never saw his depth who dont like him.



Guess some people dont like a video game NPC telling them off.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I think this poll may have something to do with the notion of the Kaidan fanbase being older in some way. It doesn't prove anything of course, it's an unscientific poll after all.

A strong, mature woman who has excellent taste in men instead of just the "pew pew I can snipe everything cuz I'm leet" type? Speaking of tasty men...mmm Kaidan

I did not mean to offend anyone. I was only 22 when ME1 came out, and I still liked Kaidan:wub:. I had just gotten that impression from polls and lurking threads.

What I was trying to get at is that we aren't special or different. 

Sure we are.  We are clearly women (and men) of discerning taste in fictional characters.  We don't fall for flashy packaging and big guns and aggressive intros.  We prefer the strong, silent, quiet type with a relationship that must mature like a fine wine or grow in richness like a good chocolate.

Mature in body, or mature in spirit, take your pick.  Or heck, how about both?
