The presenter, I think his name was David Silverman? for the demo said during his speech that the teams to peruse the forums and listen to what the fans want. So... maybe, just maybe, that means that they've seen how epic our thread is, how much we love Kaidan, and how much we desire some sort of resolution -- and they'll give that to us. A girl can only hope.![]()
I forgot to mention: this was very uplifting to hear! I'm very happy that they're perusing the forums to find out what the fans demand. Hopefully they see out 2200+ Kaidan thread, the 150+ Ashley thread, and the 20+ Kaidan/Ashley DLC thread, and there's a lot of comments made by other people for DLC giving Ashley and Kaidan a chance to shine. Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome!
It didn't hurt that they gave me free loots, either
Seriously, though, I really hope this means they won't abandon the VS/LI. I don't think they will. Too bad David Gaider wasn't the lead writer for ME, otherwise I would have asked him. If ME3 is at PAX next year, that's pretty much the ONLY place I will be. Haha.
Umm.. to be more on topic here, Kaidan is my favorite LI in the ME universe. Even though I wasn't able to update my own fanfiction, I still read everyone else's that posted updates (Newton's First Law, Valhalla, When the Day Comes, etc). Lovely work ladies! The love we have for Kaidan cannot be halted.

A lot of haters on the forum. And it is annoying. Some of them even go so far as to make and join hate groups
We should make we hate haters group:P
I'm part of the Anti-Tali Alliance. I can't stand the space chicken and her creepy fanbase (that got removed from the forums).

I love Bioware games with stories and worlds.
But I also love going on a Rampage some times.
Must be Bipolar then.
I'm the same. I adore shooting up some Geths (it sooths the nerves) and I still love my mature, quiet yet strong Kaidan:wub:

I'd like to see a harem of shirtless Kaidans.

Well... I would, too. But Collider is Kaidan's pal.

Although the one Sialater posted did get me thinking fondly of Kaidan being back on the team with my M!Shepard, bein' bros. I think I'm getting emotional.

I've always played shooters more for the most part, but I play anything that's good. Any genre set in any age, any system(that I own) and I'm set. I'm not too picky about it.

Generally the same, although RPGs tend to be my most favorite. They're the only games I've really played more than twice.

The SB DLC was reviewed on IGN by a woman who romanced Kaidan and Ashley and she expressed her desire for K&A DLC too! Woooot~

Oh awesome, I thought her name looked familiar, she has written about her love for Kaidan before: http://gameon.msn.co...ve-With-An-Idea
And as far as us Kaidan fans being a "type", I don't think we're easy to pin down. Most of the regulars are female, true, but there are a few male Kaidan romance fans, and a few bromance fans too. We have young people and (ahem) older people, and I think it's great. I wish everybody saw how cool Kaidan is, even if they don't LURVE him like I do, but it's great that we've got as many people as we do who are interested enough in him to join in the discussion.

Sucks that screeching 12 and 45 year old men that cuss like sailors are the general idea people get when you say "Halo". I love those games. Being female and playing online isn't fun either, especially if you talk/have a GT that gives it away. <_<

I was trying to do a little research before finally writting my letter to Mac Walters. A little discouraged. I thought for sure will all of our creative Kaidan fans we had better numbers than for other characters.
You tube vids:
Kaidan-196
Shenko-188
Garrus Romance 396
Thane Romance 292
Jacob Romance 221--how the hell?
I guess if you combine Kaidan and Shenko, the numbers are similar to Garrus's, but I don't know how much overlap there is.
Deviant Art:
Kaidan 701
Shenko (although some are some sort of goat) 149
Garrus - 2805!
Thane - 1283
Jacob - 358
The place we do better is in Fan Fiction
Kaidan 201
Shenko 96
Garrus 320 (so pretty similar in numbers if Kaidan and Shenko are combined)
Thane 124
Jacob 24 (haha!)
Grrr...But as we know with the "metrics" numbers can be spun. So I'll spin them a bit. But still. Almost 3000 fan art of Garrus?
I did a numbers thing about a month ago on these forums... to see which characters had the most posts. I added all of them up (even the threads that got locked). Kaidan was 2nd behind Tali! (And we never got a spam warning, like some of the other threads.) But that was before LofSB came out, so I'm sure Liara has skyrocketed past us... she wasn't too far behind. Oh well. At least in this community, the Kaidan fans are one of the most vocal and active groups.
