Thanks.  I would be working on one of their gazillion research projects somewhere in the country.  Anywhere from Maryland to Detroit to Arizona.  The fun part is going to be finding a place to stay if I get accepted.

Ok, I know my problem for writing my fanfic. I need some somber music to listen to, and everything I have been listening to is far too... romantic I guess.
Any suggestions for some somber music? (I am fairly ecclectic in musical taste so genre doesn't matter to me)

I was listening to Philip Glass's Solo Piano while writing the first chapter of my fic.  It really helped set the mood...which was moody.  Plus instrumental music helps me be creative.  Glassworks is also a good one by him for mood music.

Yeah, I think Kaidan probably just went to Shep pre-Ilos to talk out his concern re: the mission on Ilos and tell her how he felt about her, maybe hoping to finally get to kiss her and then things just sort of happened and he ended up in her cabin looking like he does in Winde's pic above.

Oh, I've already done that.  It was in an RP I did with a friend.  Kaidan's biotic powers morphed into Force powers and he was a very reluctant Jedi.  Then later it was revealed that the Force powers came from malfunctioning implants, so he had to go in for surgery.   But then, later, the powers came back and we had a happy ending.  XD

Hehe, I first heard Philip Glass on This American Life (his cousin is Ira Glass!), but I was so happy to hear it on BSG.  That show used music so well.  I also like to recommend Steve Reich's Music for 18 Musicians, and the Requiem for a Dream soundtrack by Kronos Quartet to people looking for cool contemporary classical music.  It's not all snobby and boring!
