The one thing that made me extra sad and jealous was seeing the romance scene from the DLC on YouTube.  Don't get me wrong, it's great, but it made me sad, and though I immediately thought "I want that with Kaidan!", I also realized that there is no way Kaidan and Shepard can patch things up and pick up where they left off that easily, after Horizon.

Part of me hopes, if the devs do have some sort of romantic scene, that I would rather it end at a kiss.

Part of me wants that for ME3-- I'm afraid of another cross-eyed Kaidan animation, like on Horizon; it would suck for such a special moment in ME3.

Too far?

I thought your fic said something about it being like a small ferret.  Posted Image

Ferrets like to dig around in holes.

Personally, I found high level stasis very useful in ME1.  A little cheating, but useful.  Loww level statis was somewhat useful in groups with taking someone out of the fight temporarily and evening up the odds.  (My level 5 Adept on insanity found stasis very useful indeed.)

Perhaps a nice hug that lingers with their lips close as they start to pull away--almost but not quite.
Like the want to, but at the same time know that there's too much yet to work through.

This would be acceptable. For a start in some sort of DLC romance scene. In ME3, nothing but full-blown smexytimes will suffice. Can I get an Amen?

And... no smexytimes, but plenty of Carth in Ch. 12

Edited to fix tag fail

Played LotSB until midnight last night because I had to finish it and I saved right before taking Liara on the ship so I can replay to get that Kaidan mention! I have to check the videos again today too because I think there's supposed to be new ones on there (and yes I went through EVERYTHING on the SB's terminals to find a mention of Kaidan). I just need anything on Kaidan, even if it's a video of his (hopefully awkward) meeting with the doctor for drinks on the Citadel.

Maybe it's because I played with my non-ME2-romanced femshep still pining away for Kaidan, but reminiscing with Liara made my Shep seem very, very lonely, which I actually liked because it made her seem more like a normal vulnerable human being. Overall I thought this was an excellent DLC and if the VS gets something like this I will be absolutely ecstatic.

Stasis was much more useful when you could damage the enemy caught within (I think Bastion is the specialization you needed to do that?).

I thought Kaidan could do that on high enough levels.  It's like... Stasis 3, or whatever?  (Because I thought I was stasis'ing and killing krogan, but that would have been my Soldier because my Adept never got that far).  Then again, we were also lifting and killing krogan and throwing krogan to their deaths, so perhaps I am confused.

zomg! finished LotSB! - bugs and reinstalls notwithstanding.

LOVE!

okay, BW continues to prove to me they can write awesome content. i think my hubby thought i was insane laughing and cheering like that. and that was over the "detail oriented" stuff at the end.

now just give us something like that for the VS and i will dance away happy

Yeah.  I liked that, too.  And for the first time in ME2 someone actually asks about Shepard with no alterior motives (like data mining for Cerberus-Kelley or wanting to make sure the mission won't fall apart--Joker).

Yes.  Like Crusing Prison like in DA

I don't know if you've seen this thread, but the topic of what powers Kaidan might get if made a temporary squad member (like Liara in LotSB) is being discussed. This may interest you. :-)

Thanks Estelindis!
I'll probably add this in the other thread, but I'd love for Kaidan to get a new biotic/tech combo power...maybe neural sabotage? Can hit both organics and synthetics?

There are a couple of power ideas in the thread that might cover that. Personally, I'd like to see Damping or Sabotage make a comeback, though I know Sabotage might be problematic as it was based on weapons overheating (IIRC) and that's changed now with geth heat sink technology.

I choose to believe that, much as we love these characters, the writers who created them love them more. And I hope they'll get the treatment they deserve. It's just difficult with this long wait, not knowing much one way or the other. I think that's as good a reason for calling this a "support thread" any anything else. We're not just supporting Kaidan's awesomeness - we're supporting each other.

This what I hope.
And we have been told that there will be more bridging. The LotSB, was just the first. So I keep my hopes up. Actually the LotSB has me more optimistc about the future DLC. If we are allowed to solve plots like the Shadow Broker and reuniting with Liara it means the future DLC will probably contain more major plots, like solving Shepard's problems with Alliance/Council which would provide a good opportunity to reintroduce Ashely/Kaidan.

I'm hoping the potential VS DLC will finally give me the chance to bromance Kaidan. I'd also love to hear what he thinks about Shepard's love interest, if Shepard is male.

I just realised that there is more videos in lotsb. I watched and watched them all so hoping for some video with Alenko and nothing! Would be crazy they put vid of Kaidan dating that doctor on the Citadel :/... Would be funny to see him sitting and angry doctor with some reason spilling drinks on his face and watching her leaving the bar xD. no dossier, no vid... Why they sidelined VS so much? Whyyy Bioware?! *Slaps Bioware* you better have a very god damn reason! This is so ugh... That is my only complain about this dlc. I really hope that next one will be VS!

The only thing that I can think that will reconcile Horizon in my mind, and BW's ignoring the VS so far... is that Kaidan/Ashley is so black ops... they're the Alliance's James Bond. Which means the dialogue on Horizon was so lame on both ends because Shep and Kaidan are each trying to protect the other.

But then... the email...

Hey everyone :3

I updated the sigbar thread in the KAAS to include two new sigbars. Please add to the thread if you find some that you really like and think would be appropriate to add.

That's why I excuse them for not putting in a dossier of Kaidan...his file is surprisingly well-classified, after all. That's why it's impossible for us to find him ugh.

Yeah, the email bothered me because it said way too much that could easily be intercepted by Cerberus, and even if you don't mind his outburst on Horizon, he's not the type to write something carelessly like that.  I would love to learn that he pushed Shepard away to try to protect her, but I don't think that's what's going on right now.

I keep watching the video archives in LotSB, hoping to see something that will give me hope for the future.  I keep seeing interesting stuff, but nothing that points to any one direction for what's next.  I guess I'll keep hoping...

Well, I can excuse Kaidan because the whole email thing is not...all that plausible to begin with. I mean, how does EVERYONE know Shepard's email? I can understand how Kaidan would get it, but the random prisoner from Purgatory??
