I actually don't mind Kaidan's hairdo. Just asking, is it me or is there a lot more support for Ash and Kaidan now that LotSB came out?

I don't think it's just you, as far as I can tell there's a lot more interest in a Ash/Kaidan DLC now. Makes me happy.

i don't think it's just you. i think that BW proved the ME1 characters still have it in them. they were just hiding it - whatever "it" was - for some unknown reason.

Yeah that's interesting. Its been two years, they took down Saren/Reaper, their friends/crew/squad mates died their lover died, they're are all too aware of the deadly threat the council is choosing to ignore, theyre putting up with crap from people who are agaisnt the Alliance (i.e. Horizon), they were promoted  and who knows what else during your absence, so no doubt their personalities must have taken a hit from all that. Look at the dramatic change around with Liara, I think that was part of why I didnt like her before too childlike for me. KAsh must have some interesting stories to tell, way more assertive and hopefully now on an equal footing with Shepard. They pretty much set that up for Liara so now I want to see it for KAsh

Agreed, Fshep needs some longer hair styles or at least better pulled back ones.

Kaiden seems oriental, but with a latin suave to his strute. I would love to have the option to have shepard do a dance with one of his love interests. I could see Shepard and kaiden doing the salsa. =D

Yeah.  In my Citadel doctor fic Kaidan's awful dancing causes Chelle to get him drunk to loosen him up.
Funny.  In ME1 mShep dances just like Kaidan.  Ash dances just like femShep.  Liara is the only one that can dance, I think.

That was an incredibly sweet fic.  Really made me like this doctor.  I enjoyed seeing how, while they didn't have the same chemistry as Shepard and Kaidan, there was still the potential for something there.  I mean, much as we like to joke about hating the doctor, we wouldn't want Kaidan to have remained sad and lonely if our Shepards had really died for good.  (Assuming the galaxy managed to survive the Reapers in that case...)

Thanks, Estelindis   I'm glad you liked it.  And Sage was a really good beta for me on that one.
Odd.  It was going to be a disaster date fic.  But then it changed into something else.  Even the very end was different than I planned.  The characters just told me that it happened a different way.
And its followed up upon a little in my R&R fic as well--much later in the story.

 Gaaah I need to play LotSB!! I had a router problem now I have a memory card problem. Damn Xbox.

I'm confident about a future VS DLC. It's starting to get a lot of support. And if not, the VS will have an important role for ME3. Or both 

EDIT : I also want to add that Mass Effect is a three episode video game. If there is no VS DLC, then Kaidan WILL be in ME3. BW is not stupid enough to just throw one of their characters in the trash.
Also, I do get my concerns about a VS DLC. What WILL happen in there, in a way that won't affect Kaidan's role in ME3? Horizon was a huge blow, if things get solved in the DLC, how will things be explained in ME3?

I have so many questions! We need answers BW !!!

As already dicussed in the VS DLC thread, Bioware doesn't have to solve every issue between Kaidan/Ash and Shepard, and leave nothing for ME3. It should just give them a chance to reconcile and something to work with in the future, a stepping stone if you'd like.

I think the stepping stone should be that we finally get to convince Kaidan that yes, we died. No we weren't working for Cerberus voluntarily. No, we betrayed no one.



The true reunion can happen after that stuff gets worked out. AND then, ME3 can start as if those things had happened.

I never got the impression that he didn't believe Shepard when she said she died.  And he seemed pretty willing to take her case to the council for her (whether or not his faith was well placed or she never mentioned had she already been there...).

I disagree that Shepard wasn't working for Cerberus voluntarily and that she didn't betray the Alliance, but that's neither here nor there.   (As far as I'm concerned, it's all a matter of personal perspective.)
