Why would he tell Shepard that Liara is working with the Shadow Broker?  Couldn't that get Liara or Shepard in trouble, if Shepard had believed that and thought she was an enemy now?

TIM definitely knows more about Kaidan/Ashley, as evidenced by luring the Collectors to Horizon to use them as bait, but he wouldn't share that info with Shepard.

The more I think about it, the more it makes sense to keep Kaidan/Ashley info out of the dossiers if something special is planned for them.  For instance, if they're a Spectre now, it would be seem silly later on when it's revealed that the Shadow Broker didn't have that info, and just had a shopping list or letters to their family in their files.

Hacket is an admiral, the VS a mere commander or lieutenant. The SB is going to keep tabs on Hacket, esp. if it's about how Hacket is related to Shepard. It's not too strange to believe (at least not for me) that the SB would not have picked up on their significance to Shepard, or if he had, that he hadn't bothered to archive it. The SB was simply trying to sell Shep's body to the Collectors at first, then track Shepard's progress on the new Normandy. Shep to the SB is a threat. Shep to TIM is a tool, so i see them both going after different info as far as Shep is concerned. Besides, I guess it could be seen that the SB thought Liara was Shep's lover, as Liara went to such lengths to get shep's body back. I mean, regardless of fanfic speculations, all that Shep and the romanced VS shared was one night before Ilos. as far as we know, no one knew about that...until maybe horizon.

okay, so there are plot holes there, but again, i find them telling. my only real complaint is still that typo where shep is referred to as "he." in a dossier

... then again, I got the impression that the Shadow Broker was a totally neutral body of politics who owed me a favor, so I don't know? Maybe whatever you find in the DLC is merely what Liara wants you to find.

That's a great idea. And I'm glad that you didn't allow people to see the spreadsheet because then people would know how others voted and that could cause a potential harassment issue (you never know...)
