one advantage to me2 is the shooting stuff when kaidan is away. violence is a good answer...or,...wait, that's not right...is it?

and i'm glad my screenshots and fic amuse someone other than just myself.

It's been theorized that Kaidan or Ashley could be sent by [x] to track down Shepard.  It has potential, but could also be used to kick them off the series in a dramatic way by forcing Shepard to kill them, but not before a heartfelt spilling of the metaphorical guts regarding feelings.

Where x could be the Alliance or the Council, it could also tIM or any number of "you weren't expecting that, now, were you? ;)" villains.  <_<

(Alternately, most of the above, but after they've been a squadmate for a while - if we were lucky.)

Okay, that is so outrageously farfetched. I will always love Bioware for creating JE, and the Mass Effect franchise, but if they pull that on me, I will kill someone. >_<

@FireEye, I don't think you're being more conspiratorial than most women. I think it's a built-in "f*ck-you-up" function that's supposed to help us survive. Some people call it intuition. xD

and a birthmark?  On his right side there?  Sage!  When taking about his facial scars and stuff, you never mentioned that one!

I won't mention the lack of symmetry of the hairline on his forehead. Aw damn, I did it. It's receding stronger on the right side, Horizon light doesn't make it look any better. And I've never in my life seen  anyone with asymmetrical hairline, unless it was intentionally shaved.

*crosses arms*  Its not receeding!  Its not!  *pouts*

I actually like it the way it is. Of course, Bioware could refine it a bit more if they want to do so, but please, no drastic changes. I don't want to see Kaidan suddenly sporting a buzz cut and full beard.

A very short beard would be fine--and heck, for Kaidan it would likely take all of a day-and-a-half to achieve.  LOL.  But my Kaidan-esque mShep has one and looks darn good in it.  Likely, though, a beard wouldn't fit regs for the Alliance anyways.

I see the femsheps as all facets of the same stone most of the time.  So most don't throw me.  But my femSheps are all fair and definitely euro-looking (since that's familiar to me) with different eyes and hair.  So different ethnicity appearance tends to throw me more with the same voice coming out of it.
I think I actually have more problems with watching vids with different femPC character in KOTOR with Carth than I do with different femSheps with Kaidan.  I'm not quite sure why I am more possessive of Carth.    Probably, in truth, because he would suit my real-life personality a bit better than Kaidan would.  Perhaps because I didn't hae a sisterhood of fellow fans to pal around with about Carth when I developed my attachment to the character like I have with Kaidan, so I don't feel as much desire to share?  But that's the best I can come up with.

^ what Teen said, XX. I think part of the stats will be off because of the gender of the Shep played and if ME1 was ever played. While I appreciate fave character polls, I think they're always going to be a little off. Most women play as women, that changes the game dynamic, thus, changes the perception of the character. I liked Jacob playing maleshep, not so much as femshep, for example.

I've found that I like Jacob much better with my mShep as well--probably because he doesn't sound like he wants to make out with Jacob in the middle of the armory like femShep does.

But as much as we RP it, we're not Shepard.  She's a soldier and a CO.  Kaidan is a soldier under her command and very dedicated to the rules.  Remember that night before Ilos, he still was a bit hesitant.  They gave in because they weren't sure if there would be a later on for them.
Between ME1 and ME2 was sure that they would have continued.  But its apparent to me from Kaidan's letter than it was just that one night for them, which shocked me as well.  But considering what I wrote about them both above, I can see it.

and i am sorry i missed the birthmark, but i still don't see it. i just see shadows. the scars on lips - those i see. mebbe i only see what i want to see...

I think the letter is vague enough that you can read it either way.  Ilos could be the most important night of Kaidan's life, from his perspective, regardless of whatever shenanigans may have occurred afterward, or what he thought was the start of a relationship that, for one reason or another (duty, for example) got put on hold then blown up.

I don't know if I see the birthmark either or if that is shadow.  I looked through your screen shots, Sage, and there is the same shadow there on a couple other shots.  Its hard to say.  Someone with flycam needs to investigate.  LOL

They probably didn't have time to have sex again after Ilos but that doesn't mean the relationship didn't continue. I mean, they were probably thrown right back onto the ship for the next assignment. That doesn't mean that they didn't have any more long talks and that doesn't mean that they didn't make plans to stay together.

And I agree I think spoke about their relationship ofcourse e.g. Ashley telling Maleshep he will have to come back to  her, to hear what she has to say.

I think Ilos is referenced because it makes more sense to the player, than to have kaidan mention other moments together the player didn't witness. I don't think it's certain whether or not they spent more time together again. But I think they did, although what Jade said makes sense.

I agree with that as well. The night before Ilos was kind of the time they finally told each other how they felt so it was obviously an extremely pivotal moment. Who knows what happened between then and the day Shepard died. 

Honestly, the whole thing happened differently in my head, but I'm always screwing with the canon.

I think Bioware took a risk to make a leading character, especially a male, like Alistair. Glad they did, it makes him feel more alive than if he was SUPAH WAR VETERAN WITH FEW WORDS like he was supposed to be. At least I think "slow to trust and stuff" was about him before he became Alistair.

Only Sten can be the man of few words in that game.
