Like I said a page back, men don't talk with a lot of subtext and I think it needs to be taken at face value. There's no hidden meaning in his email IMO. I have no idea how it could mean that he's done with Shepard. If he was done, he'd be done then and wouldn't bother to write a letter or apologize
Then there's the interpretation that his email was lame etc and that he was avoiding Shepard so he wrote a stupid letter. I don't get this either. What's he supposed to do? Meet with her? Someone who is associating with terrorists while he is an agent for the council? No, that wouldn't look bad at all. Part of being in the service is putting others before yourself. Having an illicit affair with a known Cerberus affiliate would be incredibly selfish.
I dunno. I just have to respectfully disagree with people that took a negative interpretation to the email.
Edit @ FireEye: That's kind of what I was trying to say, but he left it up to Shepard. He's not leaving himself a way out; I think he's telling her he wants to be with her only if she'll have him.
