Yes!  And then a Collosus being thrown into the air and overloaded by him, or his biotics taking out a whole squad of mercs or something way cooler than Garrus's or Thane's intros.  Kaidan deserves a cool kick-butt intro.

Hey!  Good to see you again!  My personal theory is that they didn't include an Ashley/Kaidan dossier because it would either reveal something they want to save for later, or only have mundane info that would seem silly later if they're revealed to be a Spectre, for instance.

Video archives for them wouldn't reveal anything, and would have been SO COOL, though.

@Issantia, Yeah it has, if you want to know its been guessed that
The ShadowBroker doesn't think them relevant, therefore didn't collect any data on them
That the devs purposely held it back, because they couldnt mention anything without spoilers about their ME3 role
and that the devs just may be ignoring the characters
among other guesses, from what I can remember anyway.
Also it has been going around that in the Hackett Dossier, the line about his agent being replaced in two months could be a hint about the VS.

And I agree with you. A dossier on Kaidan would have been interesting, even if it was fleshing out of some miscellaneous info (similar to Garrus or Jacob's dossiers)

Yea info about his family, his birthday, his blood type...anything would've been nice. Conversation logs between him and his friends where they talk to him about us and moving on and trying to hook him up. That would've been cool to see how reluctant he was and how much they pestered him until he gave in.

Maybe I'm weird but I don't want to know about his family... I've got my own perception of what I think they are like and it'd suck for that to change.



But more about his hobbies? Yes. How about all that silly stuff that everyone finds out about their partner? Favorite food? Favorite color? That'd be fun to know imo.

Thanks fortune Unfortunately, I won't be staying very long.   Stupid real life being redorkulously busy. (But in an awesome way, so its cool). I'm so happy this thread is still going strong!

Seriously background data on both Ashley and Kaidan would have been cool.  Or Ashley's sisters. Or on places we've been like Virmire. 

Stuff on Wrex would have been awesome (Who was that other Urdnot anyways?).  Dr. Chawkas must have some skellies in her closet. 

I'm going to assume there is another DLC - my guess is that we'll reunite with Kaidan/Ashley once the plot lines of ME2 and ME: Retribution collide, which I would assume will happen prior to ME3. They haven't announced ME3 in a formal way yet, so that makes me hopeful for more DLC to flesh out ME2.

I have since updated my screenshot album to have one all for Kaidan and one all for Kyrie: my two favorite peeps in the ME universe.



This is my fave so far. Click on it for the album. I got some good ones that are...ahem, unsuitable for posting directly.

Huh, I guess I take it for granted that ME is some world out there and the game only represents it. So the lack of parts in the game does not bother me. Anyhow, tastefully edited up shot of Kaidan:

@ Sage nice pic..  I love the flycam and the possibilty to make screenshots...I replay sometimes parts until I capture the pic I want.....ant that are plenty of Kaidan pics...

Yes, like the lack of children and females of most species, I just assume the Mass Effect we see in the game isn't the full picture.  Which is why, while I'm dreading the Mass Effect movie, I'm still interested in seeing how places like the Citadel are portrayed.

Anyway, thanks sage, for the flycam pics, they inspired much naughty fun last night.  I'm trying to stay away from ME1 and 2 for a while, since my last run was extremely frustrating, and I want to enjoy it again when new content comes out, or I play a refresher game in the months before ME3.  It's great having these pics from new perspectives, though, since there was barely any Kaidan screentime in ME2.

Hmm.  I didn't have any problems not romancing him in my Liara-version of Catherine.  But I have yet to manage to not romance anyone.  So, I'm sure my romance-free-playthrough-for-Garrus that I still haven't managed will be torture.  I'm actually tempted to just roll a default ME2 Shep for that, tbh.
