I killed Legion and probably would have killed Mordin. But I reloaded so it didn't happen. (Tali was my first team leader and I knew the minute I picked her I screwed up.)

Anyway... if Kaidan HAD joined you on Horizon what would have been his job in the SM?

I would have kept in on the Normandy as bed warmer  JK, he would have been my squaddie for the whole mission.

Sidenote, I was replaying ME1 last night and Kaidan has some funny/cute lines in Noveria:

"I think I have SNOW IN MY BOOTS!" Yes, you silly, there is snow everywhere!

"Mom was right, I should have brought a sweater."

First inclination would be to put him in charge of the teams both times.
However...remembering the panic attack I had on Virmire with him on the other team, I likely would have kept him on my team where I could try to make sure nothing bad happened to him.

I would have him be the one to generate the biotic field or kept him on my team.

Kaidan would have bumped Miranda from the "person I always take in my party" role, but he would have been perfect for a leadership position spot with Garrus and Miranda.

Not to hate on Jacob, but what exactly did he do in the game to show leadership qualities???  Complaining about new party members doesn't count...

I did not think that Miranda and Jacob were plausible team leaders. It's one thing to lead Cerberus projects and another to lead combat teams into hell. Jacob? The closest thing we are told before the suicide mission myself is that he was the leader of a security team that had seen no combat.

Garrus & Kaidan are really the only plausible team leaders to me.

I sent Jacob as my tech-expert on my "everyonedies"-mission. 'Twas funny.

But I don't understand why he's supposedly a good team leader either. >_O

I would've used Kaidan for the biotic shield thing. But only if I was assured and reassured that he was NOT having a migraine. >_<

re: kaidan's role in mission - totally by shepard's side. in that hell-hole, i'd want him at my back. him and garrus - as always. re: team leaders, that *was* weird. that one i lucked out on guessing right. i guessed only tali and legion could hack the door, but i just put miri on the other team because i felt like she was the CO. but she's so antagonistic to everyone that i don't see her as a good team leader.

jacob - "stabilizing effects of his personality" <--what? that line from dossier totally threw me. like, really? when his personality - or lack thereof - makes femshep want to jump him? i think with jacob, i always felt like the other shoe was about to drop with him. i never did trust him, though i simply do not know why.

Fixed - since this is what the game focuses most on when it comes to Jacob. I had hoped that at least his dossier would give him a tiny bit of personality. But instead it showed his work-out routine. Great.

You know, if we could have had Kaidan as the one who generates the biotic shield, he could have finally had a cutscene to show off his biotics. Something we should have already seen on Hoirzon ...

My first suicide mission's line up was Legion for tech, Garrus for both the squads, Mordin to escort the crew back to the Normandy, Samara for the biotic thing. My final team consisted of Garrus and Thane.

Everyone survived, and I was sorely disappoined. >:o

Btw, what. the. F********* are they talking about?! "Stabilizing effects?" He insults almost everyone. ¬_¬ He causes a damn rift between my team-mates. If it wasn't for the priiiize, I wouldn't have liked him at all. >:@

On my suicide mission Miranda and Legion died, along with the whole Normandy crew (oops..)

I wasn't that upset, because I didn't really care that much about these characters.

But I refuse to reload and start the mission again. A suicide mission without death seems too unrealistic to me!

@Sage : That Jacob "personality" line in his dossier totally threw me off too! (Along with the working out footage... *facepalm*)

I only picked Tali as leader since I wanted Garrus on my Shep's team that first run. And my Shep trusted Miranda and Jacob as far as she could throw them.

From that point forward, Tali's on my team, Garrus leads.

Even the Shepard who "cheated" on him missed Kaidan on that SM. I wouldn't have had to worry about what to do with Jacob and Miranda. Kaidan would have been either on my team or leading a squad.

I usually put Garrus in charge of the second team since he's the one that I trust the most on the team. I have Tali with me for her drone ability and to keep her safe. Once I took Mordin with me, once I took Miri, which was cool since then I got to see her tell TIM off as well.

I think Kaidan would do well with the Biotic Shield. And he'd be hot doing it, too.

Jacob? I don't take him anywhere when I don't have to. Yes, pull is useful. But my Shepards are always biotic and I tend to take Miri. I don't need Jacob.

If I had the option for the SM I would have had Kaidan and Garrus on my team just as I always rolled with my vanguard in ME1.

Yeah, but one of them has to lead the other teams, or you have to trust Miranda or Jacob.

I'd put Kaidan as a team leader at least once, even if my heart were in my throat the entire time.

I always was surprised at Garrus' popularity.

What about Krogans damn it? WREX/GRUNT FTW!

I always had Wrex/Kaidan in ME1, then Jack/Grunt in ME2.

He would have been with me the whole SM run. I picked Garrus to lead the second team, and I lost Mordin. I thought he was the best choice!

And ya, Jacob totally got shot in the head in my first playthrough. That's what he gets for volunteering for a job he can't handle I guess.

Grunt always leads my crew back to the Normandy. Even though I think I use him as much as Jacob >.> I miss Wrex!
