I think that it is great we keep growing and show the Kaidan love... because it is a good feeling to have people share the love right... oh I am getting all soft and fuzzy ...

I am sure it can be fixed though.....

@Jade: Charge was the ME2 Vanguard only power. It's definitely something that is hard to pull off in ME1 since you have to manually sprint in and pull off other moves to keep from getting killed in ME1. In ME2, you get a biotic charge that throws you basically at an enemy and when built up will do a time slow down and recharge to your shields. Addictive as hell. And bound to get you killed more times than I'd care to admit. ;)

Charge in ME2 is an art.  And there's no Kaidan around to save your ass if you mistime it.

See? I think that's part of what was confusing me. Okay. So marksman, Adrenaline rush. Lift. I'm early on in the game, so I haven't spent many points yet. And I took Singularity, too. Its my favorite power in ME1. I like throwing it and watching all of the baddies get sucked into a vortex. LOL.

EDIT for Sia:  Yeah.  No one in ME2 seems to have your back like Kaidan does in ME1.  *Sigh*  I don't know why people underestimate him so.  Sit back and watch him work sometime.  He's just awesome!  And nice to look at.  Image IPB

BW already have said that our LI from the first game are going to have a big impact for the third game (if you were faithful) which has me believe that they are making DLC for Kaidan/Ashley like they did for liara. It is also noted that all DLC is making a bridge to the third game so there is a big chance for LI DLC

Speaking of Kaidan's build...

(taken of a tv... he looks baked... not photoshopping this :P)

This is the way I distribute his SP. Is this what everyone else does? What variations do y'all do?

My build for Kaidan at level 59 (not quite to a 60 game yet) is pretty much the same. Except, I axed out Decryption/Electronics, and have First Aid / Medicine more rounded out midway than you.

I don't max dec/electronics because there isn't a max power for them. I put the points into healing items because I think it does more good :/

Yours looks similar to mine, Fort, except that I prefer to max out Decryption and Electronics and First Aid and not put so many points in Medicine because I hardly ever use Neural Shock.

I didn't find the extra healing all the useful, and you get some added usefulness with repairing the Mako with maxed Electronics, and more shields in general. Plus, at high levels, I normally have the armor mod in for each that slowly restores health. I found that compensates better than more use out of First Aid.

I give him maxed electronics, too. Other than that, it's pretty close. I never found Statis all that good. Though... if he were to have it still in ME3... and I got to Charge someone held by a Statis field... THAT would be awesome.

Oh I remember why I maxed medicine. Neural shock... it really helps with Krogan.

Pretty much this.  But I think we can all agree that Kaidan with maxed-out Biotics kicks serious hiney!  A good teammate for any Shepard to have.

Looks about the same as mine. Stasis is a pretty useless power, so I don't even bother.

I never had that much trouble with Krogan, in ME1 or ME2. I just normally juggle them with Lift until their Immunity falls off.

Yeah, I think the only time I would really use Stasis in ME1 would be as a biotic Shep with the Bastion specialization.  But I prefer to go the Nemesis route and simply kick butt so much you don't even really miss Stasis.  I can think of times I would have liked to have it in ME2, though.  Particularly against enemies like the heavy mechs that don't just let you stay in cover and pick them off at your leisure.  So if Kaidan had stasis as his unique power in ME3 I might use it more assuming they keep the same style of combat from ME2.

Yeah, ME1 stasis was pretty useless. I never used it :/

Same here. I never found stasis even remotely useful.

I really like the Shepard Project: Persephone Rising. Though I can imagine things may get tense between one Kaidan and three Shepards ;)

I seriously hated ME1 combat when I first tried it. I bought it for like 7 bucks (this was right before ME2 release) and it took me like weeks to make it through the intro because I kept dying and raging. It was the story that made me progress through it; the plot is really compelling!

I prefer ME2 combat but I've gotten more used to ME1 after logging some serious time. Now, I play on Insanity, but I still find ME1 much more difficult, especially in the beginning. I can pretty much autopilot through most of ME2 combat, but not ME1.

We're glad you're enjoying it!  It's a lot of fun to write.

Oh I remember my first time playing ME1 I had it on casual and even still kept dying when on Therum. I can play on veteran now, but I'm still so green when it comes to these type of games.

I died on Eden Prime the first time I played ME1. And then moved it down to casual, and still had trouble on Therum. And didn't even figure out until the second time I played the game that I could zoom the camera when firing on the mako. I felt dumb. :D

Kaidan saved my poor inept Shepard bunches my first time through. Still does, though my Shepards are a bit less inept now. (My third squaddie dies more often now, though, cause I keep thinking they'll take direction as well as they do in ME2, and they don't. So the third keeps jumping out of cover and standing there while bad guys kill them. Except Alenko. Cause he's awesome. ^_~)

I had the same problem. Only when I figured out the mako had zoom did I kill those two and progress. So you aren't alone. And always had Kaidan there, he saved my sheps butt more than a couple of times.

I like rolling over Geths with the Mako ^^

I play as an Infiltrator (I love my snipers) so I tend to send my team mates forward and head shot the enemies. But yeah, first time I played on Eden Prime, I couldn't get passed these damn Zombies ><
