That was annoying but the part of LotSB that stung the most for me was that when Liara asked what Shepard was fighting for, and EVERYONE but those who had stayed faithful to Kaidan or Ashley could mention their current love interest.  How crappy.  I can forgive no dossiers, but that's just rubbing salt in the wound of those who haven't given up hope.

This is why I didn't get LotSB. I won't purchase BW stuff until there's content that I absolutely love.

I really liked it.  Especially playing as my mShep it was well worth it for me.  I thought the ending was romantic.

I think the numbers more or less confirm this... but I think it's because that most guys don't bother playing as a female Shepard in order to experience Kaidan's romance, possibly?

But, in the overall sphere of things, Kaidan was most likely written just to appeal to females in particular.

not every male player hates him. I play fem shepard more and only person i romance is kaiden, i just dont like any me2 female romances and becuase of KOTOR I have special fandom for Kaiden Va bc i played a female revan who had a romance with him.

awww how could anyone not pick Kaidan!? I got the confrontation scene once. I usually don't even talk to Liara until the romance is initiated with Kaidan so that when Liara asks me about him I can say I'm taken. I like that

she could not resist Kaidan...

I never had the confrontation scene...

@ ariya - a lot of that is because i couldn't make a face i liked for the longest time. well, and i'm obsessive that way. so, true playthroughs, this kyrie is...more like #6.

And something I never really understood was the reputation he had as a whiner when he never once really whined and yet Garrus (who whined a lot in ME1) is still considered badass.

... that is heartbreaking.  I usually get the confrontation (... for, erm, fun?  heh.) and choose Kaidan.  But I didn't even know you could talk to him about it... can you talk to Liara about it?  Because she never seemed to say anything... 

And yet now I want to know what the other dialogue options are.  Hurm.  <_<
