You know the bunkers on the moon you need to clear to get a specialization? The one that has like 50 million security drones that all agro at once? HOLY, I have to go there with full medigel, full grenades and maxed out shields to stand a chance.

I agree in finding ME1 insanity harder than ME2 insanity, though I think that ME2 insanity is actually more interesting (ME1 insanity just get tedious after a while).

However, I've never understood why so many people find the Luna mission difficult.  I play an Infiltrator, and for that mission I change my usual team of Kaidan+Wrex to Kaidan+Tali.  Twi thirds tech plus a sixth each of biotics and combat in the party composition makes this a doddle.  I mean, not to put too fine a point on it, the Sabotage ability prevents all drones from harming you in any way, because they can't use weapons at all.  Three tech characters and you should be able to use Sabotage at any time.

Yet more proof of the awesomeness of Kaidan, of course.  :innocent:

EDIT: We must have a top-of-the-page Kaidan, natch.  (Was I the only one bothered by the replacement of this image of Kaidan in the codex of ME2?  He looks like such a biotic badass.)

^You don't die when like all 8 of them blast you with rockets? That's why I struggle with it; I think it's only one of the bunkers though where I can't help but pull them all at once.

Has anyone completed Pinnacle Station on Insanity? I read it was bugged and pretty much impossible.

I tried PC on insanity. I got through some of the missions but most had the spawning issues etc that I couldn't get past. And this was a level 60 Shep with Kaidan's amazing biotics.

I'm attempting Pinnacle Station on Insanity tomorrow, and I'm lvl 26. I'll let you know how that goes... xD

As for the Luna mission. What I do is send in my squadmates, let them die there (which is why I never bring Kaidan there on Insanity... xD I throw in Garrus and Wrex) and then I close the door whenever I need to heal or recharge. I hide behind every nook and cranny I can find and wait them out. xD It takes a while sometimes, but it works.

Although, when I play as a Vanguard, (which is what I'm doing now) I just rush the f00k in there with Barriers up, Carnage at the ready, and of course Wrex and Tali with me. For extra Carnage!! :D

I'm half tempted to try insanity on my next ME2 play through. Mind you I've never played past veteran before.

...I have.  I bought Pinnacle Station and Bring Down the Sky the same day I bought ME2, and did a final run through to import my save on Insanity.  It, um... It's beatable, and possibly meant to be the way it is, but the levels do feel all out of whack.  I think I ended up doing the so-called impossible mission with Ashley and Wrex, since they can soak up the damage and deal out some of their own in the process.

Took me a couple of days, though.  Fortunately, the apartment was kinda worth it, in a world lore sort of way... now if only we could drag Kaidan there.  :innocent:

As for the Moon mission, I tend to hide in doorways and snipe the drones as they come through.  I got the crap kicked out of me on the easier settings, though.  XD

I hate Insanity so much in both of them.

I can do it, but so many of the opponents seem cheap and their attacks are almost one hitting you.

Hardcore is my preferred mode honestly.

Re. eight rockets: they usually don't get the chance, as the Sabotage attack catches a few of them in its radius, and there's three of us who can use it. For those we don't disable that way, there's always Immunity to keep my Infiltrator alive (though I do kinda feel like I'm cheating whenever I use it).

I've completed Pinnacle Station on insanity. It does have a few bugs. For instance, on survival mode, you have to eventually let yourself get killed if you want to stop playing. (I fought for about 45 minutes before I got sick of it.)

Honestly, a great deal of my survivability in ME1 comes from having Kaidan on the squad. He's a little squishy (but so are Garrus and Tali; strangely, I've never found Liara squishy), but he can handle pretty much everything apart from toxic attacks like the thorian and rachni spit.

For those who have done Pinnacle on Insanity, is it PC or xbox? I play on PC. I spent basically a whole night trying to do it all on Insanity, then read there's issues with spawning, time not being added etc so I gave up. I did it on hardcore without issues though.

There are panels you can sign out with in each level, no dying necessary.  ... though dying is probably faster, anyway.  At least I enjoy Ahern's commentary, even though he sometimes says the same things over.

And yes, Kaidan is resilliant.  And useful on Insanity, even when he throws a krogan over Shepard's head.  XD

XBox, although the issue is the same there.  <_<

I'm looking on the interwebs now, it looks like a fix/patch was released. I'll have to try it out.

I have played BDTS but never the Pinnacle Station one. But I'm not sure if I should spend the $4 or not.

I bought PC just to see the apartment. They could've made it cooler.... esp if you could invite your LI inside as well.

Kaidan "Look at that view out there."

Shepard looking at his butt "I couldn't agree more"

You Know What That Co Pilot Seat looks awfully empty doesn't it? I don;t know if it's just me but I could totally see kaidan in that seat besides if they make DLC for him they can always have it activated AFTER you defeat the collector base ^_^

No way! Curious is as curious does :D 4 bucks though ... mmm, I guess it depends on your budget. If you only buy games/dlc you really want, I'd say don't do it.

I'm happy to keep Kaidan out of the co-pilot/navigator/whatever seat after what happened on the original Normandy.  :?

He can stay in Shepard's cabin, where it's safe.  ^_^

I get your point. Thanks! Hmm.. of all the DLC I've downloaded over the year or so. The only stuff I truly regretted was some DLC for Dragon Age. Which at the time was kind of sad. I really liked that game.

^My god, yes, some of the DA DLC has been astoundingly terrible. I'm on the fence about DA2 because of it, though I am a huge fan of the original game.

Yes. I was surprised bad how bad some of it was. I'm unsure about DA2 as well. But.. back to Kaidan!

Luckily, though, all of the ME2 DLC I've paid for (Kasumi, LotSB, and the Firepower Pack) were all high quality and worth the cash.  I would not hesitate to buy any new story DLC for ME2, even if it wasn't the Kaidan/Ashley one we're hoping for.  And as long as the item packs don't include collector's edition or preorder items that I already have, I'd consider buying those too.

I cannot say the same for DA:O dlc at all.  But that game has broken my heart enough, I'm pinning my future hopes for Bioware goodness on the next ME and TOR.

I second what Teen said. Though I heard good things about Leliana's Song as far as DA DLC. But I'm pinning my hopes right now on potential VS DLC and lots of Kaidan in ME3, and TOR.

I love story DLC and even weapons/armour DLC but I'm not buying anymore until the VS storyline is addressed. I'm starting to take lack of Kaidan personally.
