ok some random thoughts here
(still morning and not haivng any coffee yet so ill try to just not confuse my self with all the things i have on my mind for that matter )

Killing the VS wont realy make any sence.....killing them means were gonna be forced to see the only human companion left from ME1 dead wich leaves us with the option to only flirt with aliens
(No, Jakob does not count as a LI.....many of ME players we're playing as paragon and Jakob being a CER operator means is not that trustwotrhy..the guy has issues with CER but spends the last 2 years of his life just guarding Sheps body in hope CER will SOME DAY will have a chance to do something to help humanity..and for many other reasons as well but im too lazy to write them down at that moment)
Dont get me wrong.i love thane and garrus but both are as best friends to me.nothing more.....
So let us say we kil the VS
That means at least 15% of the ME gamers will actually be pissed off coz there are men that did romanced Ash in ME1 and still like her and prefer her from other LIs
So whats the point for Bioware to make 10%-15% of gamers feel unsutisfied and angry?
I have the feeling we (MOST of all ME1 and 2 players) dont want a ny new romance in ME3
and tbh i think any new LI in ME3 will be just.silly coz the plot will be saving the galaxy and so at least my Shep will not have the energy or time or will to engage with another new LI.it will seem ackward to try save my life and all galaxy and have time to flirt with ppl.........especially when i dont know if ill be alive at the end to really get any pleasure of it....and if its.............ok lets have a quick .............before we go save the galaxy and die.we can do it without spending time and effort in a real LI
And know i have forgoten what i was to write....I'll go have a coffee............need it badly rofl

Well, I'm thinking of making Kaiden a renegade. So yes, poor Kaidan would have definitely prefered it if Shep was doing the mission instead.

Kaidan and Kaiden are awesome. Cerberus should have cloned him for her as a gift. Original Kaidan stays with shep. Kaidan2 goes to work. Kaidan3 cleans and cooks. Kaidan4 cares for any offspring. Everybody wins.

OMG!!!  I've been trying to figure out how to replace Shepard with Kaidan's model in ME2, but the instructions I have are for squadmates, it doesn't seem to work with NPCs.  You must take a million screenshots!

On your point here, I think that if BioWare is making ME3 a standalone game, then they will likely put in LIs.

I would not mind at all if Joker were made a new LI for ME3.  But that's for the Joker thread.

And who knows, maybe Kaidan and/or Ashley, in a new standalone ME3 game with no imports, would also be a love interest for a new Shepard.

That would be quite sweet, to get a second chance of LI's. So long as there was no triangle etc. maybe.

Would definitely prefer already existing characters to become possible LI's than new options. But time shall tell
