you are worried about the role of the ME1 love interest in the trilogy,
consider that the romance itself is told across the trilogy, in 3 acts.
Apply the 3-act concept to what's happening in your relationship with
them, and you might guess where we're going with it.

Do. Want. This.

Thank you, CR; you may have just made the day of every Kaidan and Ash fan here.

*rereads it*  Three-act concept... Plot opens, plot takes a turn for the worse, plot recovers and ends happily.  Yes?

I don't have high expectations for the ME2 crowd and part of me thinks it would kinda be poetic with everyone banging on about the pure awesomeness of some of them, if they had small unsatifying cameos, but I'm not that mean and wouldn't want the other fans to suffer, still an ickle lickle bit of me would lol.

I wouldn't be suprised if liara/Ash/Kaidan had huge roles and the others were sketchier/less fleshed out a bit like ME2 actually Image IPB

All my opinion of course and I may be talking out of my backside!

LOL you're just a little bit wicked(in a good way) aren't you?:D

It would be interesting to find out that the ME2 LI's were in ME2 just to provide for some kind of dramatic scene in ME3 with your ME1 LI if you cheated and that they would be playing no further role. Not saying it will go down like that but you never know.

I might have to make a save where my Shep wasn't faithful incase there's also a redemption arc in there for characters that strayed Image IPB

Only problem is none of the LIs in ME2 really are appealing to me in that way.

My suspicion is that some of the ME2 squadmates might be available, but certainly not all of them - especially given that they can all die. So maybe, for example, Garrus, Tali and Jack are available in general, but if your import from ME2 had Tali die, then only Garrus and Jack will be availble in ME3... make sense? The others will be explained (if they survived) as having gone elsewhere to fight - their own home planets or something to recruit their peoples, while the primary ME1 characters that couldn't die will be more likely squad options...?

I can see where they might attempt something like that....it might work if they keep it on a small scale. I just think if they tried to bring them all back they'd have a mess and not just with scripting. I don't think anyone would want the them cutting corners just so they could include everyone. I think it's gonna be hard for them to keep it all straight as it is.

True. And we all know how Kaidan feels about cutting corners..... haha. ;)

I guess I walked right into that one, didn't I?

You know what's worse, I think it would be really funny if you cheated and your ME2 LI dumps you, Jacob for Miranda, Tali and Kal Reegar, Thane well death I suppose, Garrus erm some Turian chick (speaking of which where are the Turian chicks?!?!?!?!?!?!? Doing that is going to annoy many Garrus fans. I'd miss big brother Vakarian myself. Though I don't know how else they could weave in the ME2 romances, other than doing a 'Horizon', though perhaps a slightly happier 'I'll be waiting for you Shepard' kind. But still, unless they only have cameos its just going to involve too much work/cost. Even if they only bring back the ME1 LI's as squadies, they are still going to have to do two versions based on who dies, thats bad enough. Its going to be a challenge to please everybody and I'd honestly settle for a (happy) ending cutscene, as long as every other LI got only the same. :?

I always thought Garrus was more like a little brother than a big brother since my Shep always has to look out for him and keep him from doing something bad. I really think it sad we could not have more converations with the old squad if we chose not to romance them.

I really hope Bioware had some kind of plan when they introduced so many LIs, at least that article gives me hope that there is something planed for the LI from ME1.

I felt like Garrus was my Shep's little brother in ME1, too.  But I think they transitioned him to "grown up" to the point where it was logical that her pal would help her pick up the pieces of her shattered heart after Horizon.  (She and Tali also got trashed and ****ed about men, but that's a different story.)  For my Earthborn Sole Survivor, working with Cerberus was painful to the point of bitterness.  So, she turned to her friend. And the Bro Code lies shattered at their feet. ;)

I have a dedicated faithful Paragon Shep who will remain celibate, but my Earthborn Paragrade isn't the type.  She doesn't just hold grudges, she embraces them till they die of old age and has them stuffed and mounted on her wall.  She and Kaiden are oil and water.

You know of all of the possible romances, Garrus is the one who may have been a temptation if they'd played it as a pick up the pieces romance but the guy didn't even mention my pain over Kaidan for Gods sake!  They missed an opportunity there, but as it is the heat sinks shall remain unpopped thank you very much!

Yeah I'm a sap too, I tried to romance Zev once in DA and reloaded the game to an earlier save point because I couldn't break Alistair's heart.

He'd probably be mortified. Despite the fact that there are several woman just drooling over him.

Were my Shepard not going to be interested in him (which I have not as yet managed to do)
and were slightly more sadistic, she might have mentioned to Kaiden about overhearing Ash's vid-mail.  Just to watch the blushing insue.  I always thought it was kind of cute that it's implied that Kaiden and Ash are interested in eachother if Shepard (of either gender) isn't biting.  Go ahead and throw pie at me, but I think their Yin/Yang peronalities might have gone together fairly well.

One day, a UK general and a US general where talking.

US: "My boys are the bravest soldiers on Earth. They'll do anything I tell'em!"

UK: "Oh really?"

US: "Yup; Sergeant! Climb up that guard tower and leap off!"

US-sergeant: "Sir, yes sir!"

*The sergeant climbs up the tower as ordered and leaps off - has to be stretchered out*

US: "You did good son... Now, see how brave my lads are?"

UK: "Sergeant? Be a good lad and climb up that tower and leap off."

*UK-sergeant looks at the tower, then back to the general*

UK-sergeant: "Sir, **** you, sir"

UK: "Now THAT'S bravery!"

:o:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: I am sooooooo emailing my sister and brother-in-law that one (they're both army officers). She may harumph, but I think he'll get a kick out of that.

Not even nekkid Kaidan can help me right now. :(

Poor sapph! Try this, it's something I've been working on (with help). Not a finished version (still tweaking the proportions) but I think you need it now. Will update after more tests on the husband.

The Gutter Smoothie (I don't need to explain the name, do I?)

1 1/2 oz. vodka (vanilla vodka if you have it, most homes don't), otherwise reg. vodka w/ a little vanilla extract
1 1/2 oz. Godiva liquor, or Kahlua (my husband prefers Kahlua, but I prefer the chocolate)
small shot of peppermint schnapps - not too much or it's nasty; it's just to spike it a little
good shot of heavy cream (vanilla ice cream also works REALLY well here, if you have some)

Basicallly, you want equal proportions of the vanilla vodka and the sweet liquor, peppermint to spike it, and cream to smooth everything out. Shake well & have it over ice (not too much). If you're feeling decadent, layer some Bailey's on top (pour over the back of a spoon).

To be consumed while looking at pix, reading Kaiden fanfic & forgetting about a horrible day.

I may have to try this sometime.  Maybe next year after a hard day of studying for MCATs or some such.  *Counting the days until she turns 21- almost exactly 6 months*

I too wish, their was more interaction with the love interest on Horizon. He knew Garrus, and I just thought it was odd that they never gave more dialog for the player in question..
