well he said if she is still the shepard he knows then she would find away to stop teh collector attacks and TA DA she did so maybe in the beginning of ME3 He comes aboard the normandy or perhaps there is a meeting on the citedal and he happens to be there and then they talk

I think the wait until more Kaidan is killing me more than what might happen with the romance. I would rather just KNOW, then be hoping for a year

he is the only decent romance guy for female shepards. i was quite upset he wasen't a member of the squad team and hated my shepard was unable to continue with her romance in me2. jacob has some nice body and abs, but kaidan is a way nice character than him. i really hope i can dump jacob in me3 and continue on with kaidan.

Those are my hopes too, even if they would give us a hint as to what Kaidan's role might be in ME3 that'd be enough to keep me going for the year.

I agree with him being the best choice--obviously.  I'm here and not in the Garrus thread or Thane thread.
I've always considered him the "mature woman's" choice.  He's mature, loyal, supportive, dependable, and is there for Shepard without ever asking for anything in return.  He doesn't need to be fixed.
He's quite powerful without having showboat that fact.  I love his layers and his subtlety.
And, of course, there's his voice that is just...*swoon.*

Definitely agree he's the mature womans choice. You can see that by the way some people refer to him as boring, nothing wrong with stability and being dependable. Hard to find and much loved qualities.

Also he has a nice arse

I have Fable I &II and Final Fantasy XIII waiting to be played. But I just can't pull myself away from ME and Kaidan to play them. The only thing that's managed to do so is The Force Unleashed--and that's because Sam Witer's just hawt (also fits my idea of what Kaidan could possibly look like out of a digital medium).

i found jacob boring and dull. i ended up romancing jacob in me2 because bioware kinda forces us all to it, i liked thane way more than jacob but im really not into aliens! lol so jacob was the only obvious choice, however i 'm now a bit concerned about the outcome of my shep for me3, i really really hope we get the chance to dump jacob and get back with kaidan.

The same here...I have all kind of games laying around here....and end up with ME...but now I started Heavy Rain...it looks interesting and maybe it will distract me a little bit...even so there is no Kaidan in there...*sighs*...and yes, I wish BW would give us some little news about ME 3 or VS...since we still have to wait for so long...

@Nadya2 - My Shep's all stayed single. None of the options in ME2 appealed to me.
 
I haven't played any new games since ME2, I've just been entertaining myself writing fic or beta reading for a few different people in what normally would be my gaming time. I'll play DA2 when it's released but that's probably it until ME3.

Oh, I go out of my way to friendzone Jacob in ME2. Not only is the dialogue better, but.... well, actually it's because the dialogue is better that way. Warm fuzzies for Jacob's confidence that we'll survive the suicide mission and get to celebrate on the Citadel.

Did wonder if Bioware called the ME2 romance "cheating" because if you stick with an ME2 romance to the end, you've already made your choice in regards to who your romance for ME3 is going to be. I wouldn't mind the choice if they allowed it.

The Thane romance intrigues me. I like that it seems to be built upon mutual respect and friendship. But no one can compare to Kaidan and I made the choice that until ME3 is close to coming out none of my fem or mshep's are going to buy into any of the ME2 romances--just to "VOTE NO" with my metrics.

(Well, except my mShep who was date raped by Kelly--but I don't think that really counts. He didn't invite her up later.)

I've never tried friendzoning Jacob. Romanced him with my one non-imported femShep (only way I could get one that didn't romance Kaidan!) and after that, ignored him with the rest of my characters. After all, Bioware isn't really forcing us to do anything if you think about it. You can always friendzone the potential LIs, or even just ignore them altogether with the exception of their loyalty missions, should you choose to do them.

All my femsheps stayed singles and faithful to Kaidan...but when I would have thought about another romance I problably would have chosen Thane...I like Garrus, but he's femsheps best buddy

I liked Garrus as a friend, but the romance just seemed more like a booty call--at least starting it sure did (from youtube).  Plus, I like kissing.  And that just looks painful. 
Thane is fine.
But I just love Kaidan's lips--especially those little scars on the left side.
