Me too. And I read somewhere that Ken's writer wanted someone with a Scottish accent because his wife has a thing for Ewan McGregor.  For some reason I rather liked that.  Because I do too.  (Have a thing for EM. )

omg that would be so perfect!!  . I could really go for Ewan as Kaidan., black haired or not. And yes Ewan does have gorgeous hair.  And such a swoony voice!     *starts fanning self thinking about it.*

I don't really understand where all the hate for Kaiden comes from. People hate on him, but they love Jack, or Miranda, or, god forbid, Ashley.



Kaiden just seemed like a guy to me, kinda like Jacob.



Although, it did take a few playthroughs to get used to the romance-able option walk-up for manshep. That was the biggest reason it took a while for me to hear his whole dialog, I kept expecting to accidentally trigger a male-male romance.

Some reasons for the hate on Kaidan makes me scratch my head (when did he ever actually whine? Alistair does more of that, but not in a bad way from how I see it.) but if they don't like him they don't like him for whatever their reason may be. People like who they like. It is what it is.

I think a lot of it comes from male gamers that resent the fact that there's even a male romance option for female Shepards. They see female gamers going ga-ga over a male love interest and they get all petty and childish (completely ignoring the hypocrisy of them doing the exact same thing with Liara, Ashley or any of the ME2 love interests). Also, some people transfer their hate of Carth Onasi from KotOR to Kaidan simply because he has the same voice actor. It's illogical, yes, but there it is.

Also contributing to the hatred is that there's really not that much room for a bromance with Kaidan. Either you romance him as a female Shepard and get extra depth to his character, or you don't and you....don't.

     People love Ashley ?have u seen how many of us are there compared to Kaidan...please..if any character is hated between the two it is obviously Ashley..so don't start with oh Kaidan is  more hated....i don't hate him..i just don't use him more then i need....if anything..Kaidan and Ashley fans should stick together beeing so few of us

I can only imagine how much more hate Kaidan would have gotten had he been a male LI. And how much more love Ashley would get had she been a female LI, lol.

Edit to add: If Ash had been a female LI, I would romance her at least once. She appeals to me much more than Liara for whatever reason. Probably because of her fire.

Most of us Love Ashley as much as we love Kaidan.  Vimire hurts us all.  We can save a whole shipload of people in ME2 but we can do nothing on Vimire to save one crew member.  it kills us.  I understand that someone had to go, but really as you can choose in 2, why not in one?

As much as I love both of them, I also appreciate good tragedy. No happy ending has ever touched me like a tragic moment. I sort of resent the fact that ME2 went so soft for the suicide mission. This is just me however, and I suspect I am in the minority.

Currently, none of the troll schools are accredited. Most are even referred to as degree mills as they have unreasonably low graduation expectations. 

Unfortunately, it seems that the Ash thread has recently been visited by a hate troll. This saddens me. 

So, about Kaidan. When he's not at work, is he an early riser or a night owl?

I would believe Kaidan is an early riser...just a feeling...but I think that would fit his character ...
Somehow I can't imagine him laying lazy in bed all day either...but maybe it's just my imagination
