LOL...actually I did not mean Kaidan laying lazy in bed all day because of him being a night owl or early riser...I'm usually an early riser, but I still love to stay for hours lazy in bed at the weekends...what I meant is, that I always have the feeling that he's not the type who just stays in bed for no reason...(okay, with femshep he probably would be busy)...I hope you exuse my lack of english and I hope I explained it better :)

I am a Night person & I can tell you I definitely get my sleep, but I do not need as much sleep as a day person might need.

As for what shift he would be on, he does strike me as a morning person. Of course if my Shepard was a night person like me - he wouldn't be getting much sleep! *evil grin*

People love Ashley ?have u seen how many of us are there compared to Kaidan...please..if any character is hated between the two it is obviously Ashley..so don't start with oh Kaidan is  more hated....i don't hate him..i just don't use him more then i need....if anything..Kaidan and Ashley fans should stick together beeing so few of us

It's not a competition. You don't get a title that says 'My favorite character: now more hated than yours!'

[Deity], there's been a minimum of three separate times when I've been happily perusing an artist's Mass Effect works on Deviantart when I suddenly came across a nasty bit of anti-Kaidan art and that just totally turned me off of their artwork as a whole.

Oh, no worries. I get it now. I'm a little extra-sensitive when I think day sleepers are being called lazy... Your English is great, btw. Better than my *insert any language other than english*...

Now that I think about it... without a set day and night time dictated by the solar rhythms of Earth, waking and rising hours could be far more fluid and dictated by what shift a person was scheduled to work. In that sense, I don't know that the distinctions of night owl and early riser would actually mean anything on ship.... Interesting to think about...

Working at night is hard on the body clock -- lots of studies on this. Some people adjust well, others get their sleep cycles messed up for life.  So being in space where it is perpetually dark would be very difficult.  It also impacts people's moods.

For example, I don't know that I would do well in space since I really need my sunlight.  I'd at least need one of those sun lamps that are used to combat depression in places where there's no sunlight in winter, just 24/7 darkness.

I'd also like to point out that the Kaidan hate has really diminished on these forums lately. I haven't seen a legitimate troll here in months.

legitimate?  I thought all trolls were bastards.

I think news just spread that the majority of the posters on this thread were women about the age 17.  We're scared the 12 year olds away, with our cooties and all.

And on a tangent, has anyone read Monster Hunter Vendetta?  They put forth the assumption that trolls are in fact, real life trolls.

One of the best things is to see a troll's post die due to complete neglect.

How about Hot Momma?!Posted Image

In all seriousness, though, I think Kaiden appeals to women of many ages for many different reasons.  I know I liked the fact that he was of a mature age (and mature body) and while he did have some issues in his past, my Shep didn't need to therapy him.  That's always a huge bonus in my book!

NamiraWilhelm - It's been almost 11 years for me.

mllrthyme - I agree. One of my younger siblings likes Kaidan and she's 18. Also my mom likes him as well (although she doesn't play the game) She loves my one Kaidan wallpaper.

so i finished my first fanvid: http://bit.ly/me-squad

if ever there was evidence that there is very little good video of kaidan, it is how much i needed to flycam to get what i needed for that vid.

it's a tribute to the whole squad - kaidan features near the beginning and at the end

hope you like

@ sagequeen - awesome video! It was like I was watching an all-star line-up, plus anything with Kaiden is just diamonds! I also thought the slight change in music for Miranda's intro was perfect. Keep up the great work!

Holy Mother of Mercy!  :o

I don't think I've ever posted on this thread (I'm more of a lurker, plus I feel guilty b/c I almost always leave Kaidan behind on Virmire), but SageQueen, that was literally the best fanvid I've ever watched.  For anything.  Good job!

I'm with you Night!

You know there have been a few discussions about age on this thread over the last year.  A couple of things that come to mind are that there's a pretty large group of females who post here who are over 40.  I am one of them. (and no, I'm not 60- I"ve actually people ask based upon my username but the 58 is a random number generated years ago out of frustration with trying to find a name I liked that wasn't taken!)  Anyway, we come and go but we are here and there are many of us.

I think in fact that one of the reasons I like Kaidan (and Carth!) a lot is because they aren't as young. They are more mature and heck...they're really good to look at!
