Fort, that message from Hackett is hilarious. How I'd love to hear it delivered in Hackett's voice, all professional and business-like, in exactly the same tones as he requests any other mission... And in exactly the same place, the CIC.

The message would begin to play and no one would think it especially unusual. Then, as what Hackett's requesting becomes clear, the entire crew would slowly turn toward Shepard, eyes widening - then quickly turn away and pretend to be back at work, trying hard to look at anywhere but where Shepard's standing. Joker might fall out of his chair at some point - though I suspect EDI would insta-compensate and auto-tilt his chair to prevent it. 'Twould be magnificent.

Damn it, I just want more Alliance! Kaidan, Anderston, Hackett...

...although I find Cerberus and tIM much more interesting, complex, and generally kickass after reading Retribution.  That said, I'll still take Kaidan and the Alliance over that lot any day of the week.    No awesome novel will make me forget the horrors Cerberus perpetrated in ME1.

I'm hoping that Cerberus/tIM are retconned in ME3, but I'll settle for them not going after Kaidan/Ashley in both the DLC or ME3.  <_<

Oh, I dunno. I might like it if a Cerberus operative went after Kaidan/Ashley and they 'let it slip' that the reason they (Cerberus) thought that Shepard was all uppity with Cerberus was because of their relationship with them (Kaidan/Ash). I have complete confidence that Kaidan/Ash would be able to handle themselves admirably.

I was concerned about that pre-Retribution.

However, Cerberus don't even want to go after Anderson once the events of the book are done, because they seem to recognise that the Reapers are the biggest threat.

Now I only see it happening now in the case of a "rogue cell."  Which, honestly, I'd be more sceptical about if Cerberus didn't seem to have them coming out of every seam...

Yep, Shepard stole the Normandy (again xD!) and sent TIM to the hell.
And even Miranda, that she was so loyal to Cerberus approved the actions of Shepard, so I think that now the Illusive Man will try to capture the group and recover his investment.

Or maybe not...but he looks so pissed off at the end of the game, that I think he will do something against Shepard, maybe he will try to force Shepard to work for him and Cerberus again.

That will suck, really .

I mean, if you romance her it would suck. But who says we are the only ones who can choose to be faithful or not? (Kaidan is of course exempt from that rule)
