Hello New people!!!!

Okay I am the Night and I want to greet all you new people and welcome you to our thread.

There are links below in my sig that can get you to some interesting places for new Kaidan fans and old ones too...

Click on the KAAS  If you are a Kaidan fan come join us in the Kaidan Alenko Appreciation Society or the KAAS as we refer to it.  There is a WHOLE LOT OF FUN going on there, so join in!!!

The Artists and Authors will get you to our list of... Artists and Authors of course.  Authors on top... Most write about Kaidan, I can't imagine why.  Under that list is our artist's pages... take a look!!

If you found Kaidan but are also looking for someone else There is a link to the other Character Support threads that Nick keeps up I put that link there too!

Our one line story is good clean fun... okay well it is fun... start from the begining... end brings you to the end... just read along or add a line and help us move along... all are welcome and you don't need to be a writer to join in... just make sure you know where we have been....

I'm a pessimist so I share in the belief that Kaidan will be brushed out of the way in ME3 no matter what you do.

And after he wakes up in the med-bay, Shep will be there waiting. @ teen: oh, you know if they posted a VS DLC screenshot with ashley with her hair down and in a tinfoil mini skirt and an AR posed up against the fishtank in shep's room people would be saying "ooohhh...she's so HOT, why oh why did i cheat on her with tali?" the way they were talking about liara when lotsb came out.
pfft. i have no problem with people who deliberately RP their sheps to make a choice to move on, but somehow the "oh, i guess i should have been patient" sort of bugs me.
but that's probably just me being a snob because i've had to wait so long for more kaidan in me2 and it was horizons and then all that DLC with nothing and i'm a little annoyed.
anyhow. don't mind me.

lot of us have waited for almost 2 years to meet kaidan again..................we just didnt think it would be like this.but nevertheless we remained faithfull..i guess we dont have much choice..i mean look at him.............hes totally worth the waiting...........well we just have to wait 2 more years to be with the one we love..that makes it 4 years.............jeez i wouldnt wait for any man in rl for that long.but then again noone is like kaidan :happy:

I may sound like a broken record by always taking devil's advocate, but I think its a good thing that the VS is pissed to see you again. It makes for a good story arc. Girl gets boy girl-- Girl and boy disagree... Girl and boy reunite (?)

Would Thane's loyalty quest be as poignant if Kolyat was all "OMG, its you Pops. You went away for so long but now you're back LULZ!"
Even though they reunite and make peace, the road ahead is long and difficult. "Most things worth keeping are"

If they really put the effort in finishing the VS storyline, than in ME3, I want it to remain difficult and have Shepard and Kaidan earn eachother's trust again in ME3.  Someone has to put forth that olive branch, and then have the OTHER person recipricate.  Then pour on the angst until the inevitable and satisfying conclusion (bedroom scene)

That is if Bioware gives a damn about the VS and doesn't kill them off to get them out of the way for a new flavor of the month.

Yay!  My game is working... kinda.  It still needs music / sound, and I think that my story is... shall we say "lacking."  Just not good at character writing, etc.  The game itself, though, is functioning beautifully!  I may pass this class after all, yay!

Hmm, I notice that Kaidan Alenko has Lain Oak Naked as an anagram. I wonder if this is a subconscious indication of his love of nature... :-P

I've been thinking about the whole Horizon thing and maybe it's not as bad as it seems. I mean of course it really stinks that that is all we get of him in ME2 but it's better then the alternative, Kaidan going down with the Normandy and Shepard having to move on. It would have been a easy way to get rid of the character if they had wanted to. It would've been a good death and it would've been very traumatizing to those of us that love him.



I'm glad that he reacted the way he did to the whole Shepard and Cerberus thing because if he didn't it wouldn't have been true to his character. Like many of you have said he's a strong character that stands up for what he believes in. Of course the dialogue options are awful for Shepard but I think they did that on purpose to build up the tension and I think realistically Kaidan would need time to process everything no matter what Shepard said.



I think Horizon gave us the opportunity to rebuild the relationship with Kaidan whether in DLC or ME3,I kind of like the idea of earning his trust and friendship back. That was my favorite part of ME1 the flirting and learning about him, the cute little things he let slip and the anticipation of the love scene. At the end of ME2 over two years has passed a lot could've happened to Kaidan in that time, which should give him more experiences to share with Shepard and hopefully some kind of mission to help him out. Everyone else has gotten one even Liara, if all love interests are equal like they say then they owe us big time.



Anyway that's just me being trying to stay hopeful.

I'm still surprised they didn't simply kill him off in the beginning of the game.  Although I still suspect they wanted him or Ashley as a foil to prove how awesome the new characters they were bringing in were and how stupid the Alliance is when compared to Mac Walters' tIM's genius.

Not that it matters much to me anymore.  ME2 already killed my interest in ME3, I'm just here for the Kaidan and to support the folks who still have hope.

I suspected he was going to die heroically when he showed up on the Normandy, but after that I was fairly optimistic.  Jacob did say most survived the ship being destroyed... (although 5/25 is not most, Jacob.  Learn math!).  After I recruited Garrus (first, because I guessed who he was from the info), I even suspected Kaidan might be re-recruitable somewhere down the line.  From the trailer, I even thought Jack might be him (she had manly hands and biotics - sometimes I jump to conclusions ).  Although had I recognized that Kaidan and Ashley are the same person now, I might have noticed Ashley fighting the swarms and assumed they had a bigger role to begin with.

Honestly, I don't know what's gonna happen.  My problems with ME2 are bigger than Kaidan, but... I guess I'm glad he survived it, because it'd probably be a lot less interesting around here if he hadn't.
