I spotted Gaider talking with fans in a Livejournal Alistair fan group. That was pretty cool, considering he was the writer for Dragon Age. I believe he wrote something about how mods that have Alistair allowing Loghain to sacrifice himself would be in character.Merilsell wrote...
Yup David Gaider is DA MAN and indeed very protective of Alistair *raaawr* and awesome as he is as the frikkin godfather of Dragon Age....he has ALL right to do so. Period.

Edit: drawing a bit of a blank. Most of the short stories that I read in my last literature class would be hard to fit to that theme. Southern Gothic and Grotesque. Not alot of belonging. Though I did read this one short story by a spanish author that was really screwed up that would work in a twisted way.

I tend to agree, I can't bring myself to yell at him. He just seem so considered for my shepard welfare that it was very hard to yell at him for it.
My other reason for not yelling comes down to what he did, which was own up to his action, whether or not they were "right" or "wrong". I once had someone spill beer in my shoes when I had taken them off at a party and set them off against the wall. When I came back and found my shoes I was PISSED. I was literally ranting about how dare some idiot ruin my shoes and then not bother to find me to tell me. I had wandered off in a funk, when a few minutes later the person in question came over and apologised for ruining my shoes, ofered to replace them, and was generally contrite. I couldn't be mad anymore gave him a hug, and said that if he got me a hot buttered rum, all would be forgiven. I just can't stay mad when someone owns up.
Besides, I was just happy that Kaiden hadn't had his mind pulled apart by the beacon. Even though my Shep wasn't at the point of wanting to drag him off to a quite corner, she did want to get to know him better. He seemed kinda cute, and had amused me as the strait man to Joker in the intro.

Although I remiss to suggest this (because I've been forced to read it so many times), Mary Shelly's Frankenstein actually has that theme in it.
I hate having to work to a theme - currently going through images on google looking for a relevant crowd type photos (celebrations/parades) or movie poster. the visual one is giving me the most stress

I'm about to search google looking for posters/movie stills for Avatar, although I think it tends to be frowned on a bit because everyone uses it, lol. At this stage though I just want to find some stuff that I can throw at him so that he gets it done. He is a really bright kid but hates English - doesn't see the point of studying books, poems (sadly neither of my sons have the souls of poets). All of his other subjects are maths & science related. Unfortunately for him English is the only compulsory subject and counts in his end of high school exam aggregate later this year.

Think the board just ate my post....
Anyways, don't worry about the derail. Think most of us don't mind trying to thelp.
I will forewarn you that the story may be a bit much for high school. But being as they are using Frankenstein, it reminded me a bit of this story.
Anyways, time for me to head to bed. Gnite all.

Random: How do you think Kaidan and Shepard would have interacted as kids?
I could see my Shep and Kaiden getting along as friends during their early years. She's a spacer and he was from a military family. Once she found out she was a biotic (canon says she was 17 when she was a confirmed case), they'd have had that in common. I always pictured Eleanore (my Shep) as being fairly reserved even when she was young. She's friendly, as you would have to be if your an only child who moves every few years, but she never formed any long term attachments accept to family. I always thought she'd be a track and field star and a member of the swim team, sports that test you athletically, while being essentially solo endeavors. Getting back to the point, I could see she and Kaiden being good friends, but I'm not sure they would have gone to the next step without a lot more personal experiance and something like Ilos to spur them on.

Heh, if they have a problem with it, its not my joke! *does not want to be on the bad side of people with guns and army training*
Like I said, I think he'll laugh, and if my sister hasn't shot me by now (we had a rather adversarial relationship as kids) it's not going to happen. Besides, I may get a really good rebutal joke to send you.

As for the ME1 romances (i.e. Alenko, Williams, and Liara), I suspect we'll have a full and proper ending to there romances - though I hope bioware don't go too overboard. Like full weddings and so forth - it would strike me as too 'sugary' an ending for them.
I have to say I agree. I'd personally prefer some version of "riding off in to the sunset" myself. That way I can imagine all that happens after ward myself.

Perhaps we should just admit we've taken up residence in said gutter. With occasional forays outside of it for really important stuff. Like pie, drinks and cookies.

I doubt there would be a wedding, that would get in the way off the DLC after ME3.

I think that with the general turn for the somber and sullen that recent BioWare games (DA:O and ME2) have taken, we don't need to worry about a wedding (well, "to worry" is the proper infinitive in my case, but YMMV). I'm sure that decisions through all 3 games will affect the outcome, but I'm expecting at least half of them to end with, if not outright hearbreak, at least a heavy heart.
And that's fine with me.

Have to admit I don't want a wedding scene - could come off as a bit too cheesy. but I do want Shep & Kaidan to have a happy ending. Leaves room for lots of juicy fanfic, lol. Really hope that we don't get a text box ending/wrap up like we did in DAO though.Sbri wrote...

As a point to begin to look for movie and visual references, I dug up the following article.
