They certainly have and that (according to Casey Hudson) they intend to bring some of the 'lightness', back in 3!

Alas, the Empire Strikes Back to ME2 analogy doesn't hold water under scrutiny.  Nor is ME2 particularly dark.  Maybe they were talking about Dragon Age?

I still think the VS could be important to the plot with in ME3 with a throwaway line to the romance while they're being shoved into whatever plot box that the writers want to shove them in.  But it really does seem like they want to retcon the romance angle now (even if they didn't want to while writing ME2, which I doubt was in mind while writing ME1 and feels rewritten at the last moment), particularly with Kasumi (who, as a character, notices everything, loves gossip, and acknowledges the Liara romance) and Liara (who served on the SR1 and knew you had a relationship because you either turned her down or flirted with her and then turned her down in a big love triangle complication in the Comm. Room where everybody probably knows about your LI preferences now).

I can about 80% guarantee that one of them is the PS3 one. I'm hoping for VS dlc but I should know better :/

I don't see any new dlc coming out till after the ps3 release and hoohaa surrounding that has died down, unfortunately

It wouldn't be right to exclude any of the other LIs. Except for Ash and Kaidan. Because, you know, they are that important.

Same as everyone else thinks, most likely PS3 related and to do with Star Wars.
Which is cool for the whole Star Wars fandom, but would the PS3 hooplah really need a big huge over the top announcement?

Or hopefully, even if not VS related, something else to bridge ME2 to ME3. Liara DLC was amazing.
