Also late to the discussion, but I'm limited in access thanks to work.

For my Shep and Kaidan, there was only the once for them, the night before Ilos, but I agree with mineralica that the reference in the email about "Ilos" is less to do about sex, and more about admitting the feelings. In my particular version of events for my Shep, there can be an added, bittersweet poignance that it was also the only time for them so far.

Additionally, given the version of events in my Shep's story, the Alliance suffered quite a bit of casualties in the Battle of the Citadel, so every ship and soldier was needed ASAP. The Normandy and her crew were given bare minimum recovery time for injuries and repairs before immediately being redeployed, making any shore leave minimal. And, given that Shepard had debriefings, Council meetings, Alliance meetings, and time with her mother, she didn't get to actually "have" shore leave. Her free time was planned away for her, despite the fact that she would have preferred other activities be included.

And since it's a new page...

Agreed. This is the most important thing to remember. It wasn't about the sex for him; it was about the fact that they finally expressed their truest feelings for each other then. This doesn't mean that they did or didn't have sex again after that.

lmao, that translation is brilliant. I love the "if you're still a woman, as I know" part

Kaidan knows that women are inherently the saviors of the galaxy.  Or at least, that they are the natural bane of the Collectors.  :innocent:

So whoever translated that letter to your language did not do a very good job.

The band of jokers who did it is called "EA Russia". Another brilliant thing is final dialogue with Vasir - when she asked (subtitles) "Have you forgotten what your friends-terrorists have done?" and neutral option was "yes" (the most paragonish answer available, btw) my jaw simply dropped. After re-listening I found out that she says "Have you got any idea what your friends-terrorists have done?". But at obvious reasons it's impossible to re-listen letter, so we had to guess "WTF?" until one kind soul publicated original letter on forum. Adapted Kaidan to russian reality, nothing more to say

Exactly, the email lends itself to being very open for interpretation. For Kaidan, that night was when he finally admitted to everything he had been feeling (well, except for the "L" word in my head. He saved that bomb for later.). Honestly, they could have been sex craved monkies, before and after that night, but it was that one night that was most special to him. I really think the whole "You make me feel... human" line plays alot into the why that night is special to him.

I did, too, doesn't mean Meghan behaved herself or didn't fully intend to take the fall if and when they were caught.

Congrats, Sapphy!

Totally unrelated but thought I'd share. ^_^

I was playing ME1 yesterday. Shepard was looking for something in a mine, running after those idiot monkeys. When they exited the mine poor Kaidan had his ass stuck in the door :crying:  Poor sweet thing .... he needed a kissing-bobo session after that lol

I took a screenie of it but silly me forgot to actually save the pic

For any of you reading A Paragon of Virtue, here's the Shep that's driving Kaidan nuts (Thanks to Shenzi and Gibbed):

So I have been replaying ME1 (on sale from the EA store!)

I forgot how much of a 2IC Kaidan is, when out on a mission, and how plain useful he is to have.

Any mission with Kaidan and Garrus is like EZmode. And I play on Hardcore.

Garrus has a good shot and Kaidan's biotics are helpful. They're one of the best teammates to stick together imo

Yeah, I think he's perfect as a second in command...respectful and deferential, in public, but when you're having private conversations, he has no trouble speaking his mind.

I can't wait to have him on my team again.  Unless they totally gimp sentinels in ME3, he will be very useful.

Kaidan and Liara can and will wipe the floor with enemies without any help from Shepard.

Kaidan and Wrex don't quite have the same biotic whirlwind, but if you want some control over the fight, they're very good together.

Kaidan and Ashley simply balance each other out. Kaidan brings the skills, Ashley brings the firepower.

My experience, anyway. FWIW, I play on Insanity.

I've done insanity on ME1 with a soldier, vanguard and adept with Kaidan in all 3 group setups. For my solider and vanguard it was Kaidan & Garrus as my usual group and for my adept it was Kaidan and Liara typically. While playing my adept it felt like I was skeet shooting because nothing stayed on the ground for more than a few seconds.
