The Extranet Fetish Site comment as found on YouTube.  Looks like Garrus is the other squadmate?  If I remember right, I also got it with Wrex, but I think both Ashley and Liara override it... not sure about Tali.

Haha Kaidan knows what the extranet if for:

Cant see it in my country :(

Really quiet here this morning.
To question about facial hair: for me, during the discussion about landing on Ilos (it's not an option, it's a suicide run! We can't...) Kaidan looks like he hasn't time for shaving. I don't think it's because alternative texture, so it's either light on helm or my imagination

It's definitely not your imagination. :P  I've noticed it as well and in a few different places; Eden Prime at the beacon and when you first communicate with Sovereign on Virmire.

Well, before Ilos, he surely didnt have time  to shave.

I have been thinking about Horizon alot these past few days, so here some  random thoughts.

As other ppl mentioned before, Kaidan had to look angry to justify his walking away. Otherwise he'd had to follow Shepard. If he had time to think clearly at that point, he would recognise the  need for actions. and im sure he then would definitely ask to rejoin with his Love/friend/ex com officer, with Anderson's blessing as well, coz why wouldnt both want to have a chance to observe closely Cerberus doings?
And apart from the need to be alive in ME3 there were to be other problems with him being a recruitable option as well. As if he was on the ship then Liara had to have the option to be there as well and she cant at the moment. And tbh i dont know how fair it would be for other players to strugle for their romance while we would have them back and we would have the option to continue with them.
Plus what you have mentioned that we wouldnt feel the need to romance anyone else and that would make the new LI writers unhappy :)
And frankly, i now feel that him being angry and  turn his back to Shep is far more better to the reason Liara claimed she cant join her/him
I mean really, Liara, youre busy hunting shadows in the dark and searching for someone that was SB's prisoner for 2 years to save him even tho you dont even know if he's alive still? (and why the hell the SB kept Feron alive for 2 years? whats the point? )
That i can imagine was a hard slap on the face for Liaraas romancers. Harder than ours.
Anyway i hope i make sense (what a woman will do or think to justify what happened lol )

I think all fairness in the romance department went out the window with the lair of the shadow broker DLC. And even before that we at least know where Liara is and what she is doing. Liara got the wonderful love scene before Ilos which is even longer than the one with Kaidan or Ashley and she has a vital role as the new shadow broker, so we know for sure that she will have an important part in ME3. Shepard may have to travel for his or her booty call but still it's basically guaranteed. We Kaidan lovers have no idea if there will be a DLC, we have no idea what he has been doing since Horizon and we have no idea what to expect in ME3, it's very frustrating.

The thing for me is that there's the lack of acknowledgment.  In the game proper, you get the picture scene, the "loved" + hug from Kaidan himself, and the thing from Joker asking how you're handling your breakup.  In the DLC, released after the game, there's nothing.  Barely a mention of the VS, and that in a vague platonic context.

Personally, I think romancing the VS isn't going to fit their plans for the VS in ME3, so they're trying to quietly push it under the rug.  Same with the characterization, really.  :crying:

The trilogy is still an unfinished one.

Unfinished story, unfinished characters, unfinished romances.

I think that we *might* be able to get some info from him about the first two games, if he responds, but I wouldn't count on him even admitting to working on ME3 yet.  I remember Seth Green saying on Twitter that he knew nothing about ME2 only a few months before it came out.  I imagine that the voice actors are told to keep their mouths shut until the marketing department gives them the go ahead.

I *seriously* want ME3 to be announced as soon as possible.  Like, today.  Please???

And a VS DLC, please. If there will be no DLC, I don't have high hopes for ME3.

I still have faith that the VS will be treated well in ME3. It would have been easy to not put him/her in ME2 at all, and the fact that there is the option to stay with them gives me hope. Maybe it's better to have low expectations, though. That way it could be a pleasant surprise or a less major disappointment.

I enjoyed both Mass Effect games so much I'm sure I'll love Mass Effect 3. It is odd that some LIs are "more canon" than others, though...I can't stand Liara. It was so nice to throw her in the "friend zone."

This is correct.

Game voice actors have contracts that tell them that they cannot speak of their work until after the game is out. Developers have similar things in their contracts as well.

My problem with the Kaidan/Ashley ME2 role is that it's written in such a way that it reminds me of bad fanfiction where characters are put in a bad light because the author doesn't like them and assumes that no one else should like them either.

Sometimes, I do wish Kaidan hadn't been in ME2 at all.

Maybe it's just me but there is a pattern in Bioware's games. The male love interest is always an ass at some point. Carth in Kotor is kinda mean to the female PC when he learns the truth. Same with Alistair who might dump the female Warden is she doesn't choose carefully or if he isn't hardened. So I guess I shouldn't have been surprised Kaidan is such a jerk on Horizon. (I don't know for Jade Empire, I never finished the game but that's what I noticed in their other games)

And though Carth and Alistait acted as jerk, sometimes things get better for the female PC. So I keep faith for Kaidan, they promised us a surprise if Shepard remained faithful to her/his ME1 love <_< (ok maybe it's only wishful thinking but who knows maybe someone will remember some of us actually like Kaidan and/or Ashley)

I'm just hoping that they don't make Kaidan act like Ashley because the writers assume that not enough people saved him for them to put more effort into the dialogue...
