I really will breathe a sigh of relief if this new game is a Mass Effect spin off, and NOT ME3.  I don't see how they can make a great final chapter to the story *and* make multiplayer fit in there seamlessly.  I want more squadmate interaction, more sidequests with actual plot, wrapping up loose ends from side quests from the first two games, and a epic main plot on top of that.  How are they going to accomplish that if they're spending a decent amount of resources on making an enjoyable multiplayer experience?

Sigh.  I really hope they don't mess ME3 up.

I do want to see indoctrination in action again in ME3 but... no, just... no.

Is it bad that, with as much as it seems to be referring to Mass Effect 3 right now and as much as I want to finish Shep's story, I'm just.... not excited?

Well they've already pretty much left them out of an entire game and the little of them we did see wasn't exactly pleasant.  I'm hoping that it will only get better from here but I'm kind of starting to lose my faith.  It's almost been a year and no Kaidan not even a word.

Raphael Sbarge was on tonight's episode of Burn Notice. I had my back to the tv and heard him and squee'd OMG it's Kaidan! My bf was like huh? Who is? lol...I love his voice sooo much

There just isn't enough info for me to be excited. I like the last picture, looks like a story unfolding and not just "shoot Russians! No, Talibans! No, Germans!". But the soldier still makes me think of those kinds of games, and it kills my expectations.

It could still be awesome, regardless of what it acually is. It's pretty much 1 second of the game that we know about at this point. But I'm not getting my hopes up based on that second, it could be anything really.

This.  Until we get more information, I'm not going to freak out.  The graphics look decent, well at least in the one picture I've seen, but I'm going to wait to freak out.

Until we know more, please pardon my shameless self promotion, and tide yourselves over with chapter13.

Unless Kaidan is in it in a good way, I will not be excited. And I can't say I'll be excited over a multiplayer or shooter either.

Renegade Sun is breaking my heart, but.. you know.. in a good way.  Very nice chapter, and I can't wait to see where this is leading!

I just realized that ME has turned my life into one long wait. Waiting for VS DLC. Waiting for ME3. Waiting for announcements. Waiting for fanfic updates.

What will we do when it's all over..?

You guys are quite right. Even when the trilogy is finished it'll always be there to replay, to write about, and to invest in. And there will be something new, there always is.

The way he confronted me on Horizon talking about how being without me was like losing a limb, he was just one step short of saying that he missed the warm, tingly feeling of my voice as I whispered into his ear.
