I highly doubt they'll treat every romance equally, despite their claims that they'll do so. They said "don't worry" about the ME1 LIs and look where it got us Ashley and Kaidan fans.

Fixed.

True. Liara has the most stuff out of every character and LI

I think, no matter what is said, Liara is the canon LI. If an ME movie gets made, that's where they'll go, I believe. Which makes things not look so good for Ash on Virmire.

They're prepping everyone for when they make her the "cannon" LI in the upcoming movie. :crying:

EDIT: ninja'd

Don't jilt your Alliance "contact" too badly you get Alliance help.

There's still Admiral Hackett with the Alliance. We all know he's definitely still backing Shepard. Anderson is there, too.

Honestly, it says a lot about my ME2 experience if the announcement of ME3 upsets me more than it makes me excited. In fact, I feel no excitement at all.

A Virmire survior dlc, if such a beast exists, could work as a good lead into ME3 going by the trailer

Yes, but Ashley or Kaidan will be (silently) leading the Alliance navy charge on screen on a 30 second cutscene.  One minute if you romanced and didn't cheat on them.  :innocent:

Same.

I'm even disappointed that the Reapers are still involved, poor things.

No, there will be a simple, "I love you Shepard," before they're crushed by a Reaper.

Yep, meaning that the VS will have an "important role" yet will be enough out of the way that they won't have to deal with writing too much for them.

Yep. This is my fear, too. That the VS just became the Bann Teaguen (sp) of ME

No, see, that would require hiring the voice actors and recording the lines, which costs more money than the silentness.  There's just not enough time and money to include the VS in any speaking capacity.  :o

Although, having them mouth it silently, at a distance so you can't tell whether it's Kaidan or Ashley might work and save precious resources...

Well, the good thing about this announcement is that we'll either get confirmation of our worst fears or really good news, eventually. Knowing that it has a date for release, and a marketing campaign coming up, is better than not knowing anything.

That and when info starts popping up on imdb you can see who they hired for voice acting.

I'm still hoping to see Ash in some of the future promo stuff. They'd never show Kaidan anyway.

But even with that you don't know how big a part it is.

Just in case you need to be compelled to the ME3 LI's.  And for those not, at least he left another email.  :innocent:

In the ME1 trailer, Ash was the one both left at Virmire AND the one Shep slept with. Posted Image
I'm not too worried about the game. Apart from Reaper hell, nobody but Bioware knows anything about the game. If the marketing is the same as ME2, I'm sure a lot of the game will be known just from that.

The initial idea of the plot is already known anyway; Rally the universe. Kill the Reapers.

Tidbits are the only hidden secrets so far.

I don't know, call me the friggin' Pollyanna of KAST, but it makes no sense to keep the VS back if you're going to relegate them to a role that Hackett or Anderson could have filled. The Alliance will want a representative with Shepard's squad for political/intelligence reasons. The VS fits this and has been set up for this. Does that mean they couldn't create an entirely new character with the same purpose? No. But leaving Kaidan and Ash in limbo makes no sense, either.

He sends the email telling Shepard he loves her before being crushed by a Reaper.

And it turns out that we only see the vehicle he's in crushed.

Anderson tells us it's him in the end.

Man I hope so, because the only compelling the ME2 LI's did for me was to compel me to violence, anger, and emesis.

I like the way you think.

I'm keeping my hopes up for now.  Posted Image
