I see certain similarities between Tali and Kaidan, in their love of tech, their more paragon outlooks, and that they were both a bit reserved at first, when Shepard met them. However, I think that the things that seem like virtues in a female character are often looked at as faults in male characters, especially if they're "just" humans. Personally, what makes Tali feel like a sister to my character, makes Kaidan attractive as a romantic interest, at least to me.



It really sucks that our society has no problem (most of the time) with a female (like Ashley) taking on more "masculine" traits, while if a guy appears to have qualities that are more "feminine", they're losers. It's something that irked me about Virmire, and how often I've heard people call Kaidan "whiny" or a "sissy", when comparing him to Ashley. I'm sure that they're usually not even aware of what they're doing, but it's kind of a sad commentary on how we haven't really gone that far when it comes to letting go of predefined gender roles.



On a lighter note, Christina Norman tweeted about a really funny and cute Kaidan related song today: Mass Effect My Heart. It's been mentioned here a while ago, but it deserves the love.

You're absolutely right, TZ. On all of it. Tali is like a sister to my Sheps, but Kaidan is different. And yeah, since when did 'sensitive' become a dirty word?

That ultimately sums up a lot of my feelings.
I do think Horizon dialogue was a bit derpy but made sense. The email was a little weak but it gave something to look into. But if the LotSB implied anything, I think it implied how ME3 was going to work. With the banter between Liara and Shepard and the more personal feeling it gave off.

I am sure it will be possible for the VS to have the POSSIBILITY to die in ME3, but I doubt they have a personal, scripted death just reserved for them.

I completely agree with both of you.  I hated Horizon because, aside from angry Kaidan, Shepard was a complete derp and it made me sad.  But I get it.  I TOTALLY get why it's there and where it came from.  But it still made me a sad Mel.  [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/crying.png[/smilie]

And Batteries, I can totally see the possibility of the VS dying but not having a scripted, forced death, a lot like how you could save (or kill) your team in the SM in ME2.  Then again, I feel like that's going to be a possibility for most, if not all, LIs.

Ohhh thanks! I am glad that you like it! But I don't recommended stealing this Kaidan and taking him to your homes. Ahem...I...I xD Oh well ok... I will admit... Morinth was only willing to volunteer. Yea I put Morinth in Kaidan suit and knew that she would do something bad so I glued eyes down of the doll so she doesn't do "embrace of eternity" on Kaidan fans. I really tried to get real Kaidan but these freaking those companies just make computers nowadays without "send" button for mails...ah you know how it is and then I traveled to Holywood and saw him on some movie game set, doing hairbrushing. I approached to him, he said and pointed: "I am buisy at the moment, stay in that line for the signature." So I did what he told me. I went on that line, there were bunch of other fangirls. They all have had that some picture of him and it was written on it "The Virmire Survivor dlc".

 aaaw I know I'm a bit late but I just saw the Kaidan kisses for 5$ and plushies for 10$. WHY?? I want the plushie LOL and catabuca you are right his lips are so dreamy lol some game characters are so well modeled and Kaidan is one of them  now I have to concentrate on what I was doing before seeing all those yummy pictures

Because real Kaidan kisses does not have a price. And as I said in previously post...it was Morinth so it was abit of risk. And dear madame... plushie's hair is made of real Kaidan hair. I stalked him when he went to his barber and collected his hair which was left on the floor when he was finished...I put my life to get that hair!
