infiltrator is quite useful

i prefer ME2 fight system it's the only thing i'm missing in ME1

In ME2 i didn't like when after giving my squad command to cover they were sitting there and not shooting but it wasn't often

It's due to a process called dithering; the GIF format can only support 256 colors at most, compared to the 16 MILLION colors your source images likely are in, so the conversion process is trying to use interpolation to preserve color depth. I don't know what app you're using for it, but you should have some setting/option/function/whatever somewhere for different color reduction methods, should be in the least one option that doesn't involve excessive dithering.

Okay I will need lots of Kaidan love from this thread for the coming two weeks. Just restarted my xbox and got the red rings of death, so no more Mass Effect 1 or 2 for the time being. Did order the special edtion xbox thingie, but that won't get here till March 9th

Time to play Dragon Age then I guess....will miss Kaidan though.

Okay well in that case it turns out all the stuff Cerberus did to Shepard to revive her, actually turned her into a human reaper. Kaidan will end up having to kill the woman he loves when she starts feeding on human slushies. They fight, she mortally wounds him and then he tosses her into some hot, liquid metal goo (cuz they are in a factory after all), he collapses, you see this metal hand coming from the goo, he reaches out in this highly romantic gesture and that's the end of it.

Crap...that's depressing.

Have you tried the towel thing...I haven't had the red ring of death yet but when I was looking into going from the Xbox to the 360 I read as much as I could about it on the internet and a lot of people were swearing that the towel trick would fix it...I think at least temporarily. I think some other sights even showed you how you could open it up and fix it permanently if you're good at that sort of thing.

B careful with the towel thong, it can fry your memory so if ur planning on transfering games don't, essentially ur deliberately letting it overheat so b wary

Didn't really know anything about it...just remembered I had read something about it.  My game is on the PC...makes me a little nervous that we have to wait 2 years for ME3...things can happen to PC's in two years too.

Jho, we've had two 360 units already bite the big one to the red rings of death. I would contact Microsoft right away as they have a pretty good policy on replacing units. And most UPS stores have the boxes and address handy to ship it off.

Pc is def superior but also a hell of a lot more expensive! I was gonna buy a new pc for da:o but puppy ate the sofa so had to replace that instead :-(

I actually wouldn't be surprised if we saw ME3 next year, after all they have everything set now, so it shouldn't take as long and they are not changing the whole mechanics of the game as they did between ME1 & 2.  Well thats what I'm hoping anyway.

I know I sound deeply paranoid but I back up pc saves on a USB pen. As for hardware being old an useless, well that's why I play on x-box now!

That would be nice...still anything can happen no matter how short the wait is. I probably need to backup my saves too.

I'm not too scared of changed PC specs for ME3, but I did just drop a bunch of money back in October after my last PCs motherboard decided to die. It was just easier to rebuild brand new than replace the motherboard and processor on the old machine.

I had big plans to upgrade my computer in readiness for DAO & ME2, but I only got as far as a new graphics card.  Unfortunately going through a divorce at the moment so lawyers are eating up all my spare cash, plus the fact that my 17 year old was going to die if his computer wasn't upgraded to an all singing, all dancing machine - he even named the thing sovereign, lol.  Hopefully mine will get an upgrade before ME3 - luckily my 17 yr old is a computer whizz/nerd so he can build me one if I buy the parts, that way I get exactly what I want.
