... so... whoever you left on Virmire is going to get a big role and whoever you managed to rescue is gonna be a five-minute cameo?

It's possible that there will be a happy ending...
... but I bet there will be at least one more major kick in the pants before that happy ending comes to fruition.

Morrigan romance ended with her leaving no matter what. Witch Hunt didn't do much for it since you got a few minute cameo that didn't explain... anything, really.

Well, regarding the PS3 version I can see why they don't cater to VS fans. How many PS3 VS fans could there possibly be..? Cutting them out of ME2 for those who don't know them from ME1 is logical, Having Kaidan running around for 2 secs in Phoenix armour isn't going to create new fans either.
We just have to face it, ME2 doesn't have anything to do with the VS. They sat that one out. Everything we did get was fanservice. It could be the same in ME3, it could be different. I think it will be different, and I hope it will be different. But there's just no point in looking to ME2 (or ME1 for that matter) and the decisions made for that game for guidance regarding how this will end for the VS.
Important characters in ME1 were not necessarily important in ME2. Important characters in ME2 may not be important in ME3. Importance/treatment in one game says absolutely nothing about importance/treatment in the next. And sure we can try to read the signs, as long as we understand that in the end we'll just have to wait. There is no way of saying what outcome is most likely with this amount of data.
BTW, am I the only one who's really annoyed about the middle option often being the one making most sense in ME2? I just played Horizon, and choosing carefully I realized that there doesn't have to be yelling and accusations and stupid comments AT ALL. One or two paragon and the rest middle option and that exchange went rather well. But few people will play it that way because then you loose paragon/renegade points.

Kaidan/Ashley is the important link to the Alliance. As Bioware is going to tell the story between ME2 and ME3 in further DLCs, I think it is quite likely that we will soon get a DLC that is focussed on Kaidan/Ashley, similar to the Liara DLC. The LotSB had really an impact on the players, I think many liked her more after the DLC. I suppose it will be similar with Kaidan/Ashley.

I hope this is the case. It's absolutely insane to me right now how many people despise Kaidan and Ashley for Horizon. It's like up is down, when their being loyal to the Alliance and rightly being freaked out by Shepard joining Cerberus, is treated like the worst betrayal. I get really tired of all the bashing, especially from fans of other LIs who can't stop talking about Kaidan. As far as I'm concerned, Kaidan didn't change over two years, but Shepard did something that was completely out of left field for an N7 Alliance officer. Of course some people might play their characters as sympathetic to Cerberus...but what were they doing in ME1? His actions made much more sense than Shepard's. So, yeah, DLC that makes Kaidan and Ashley look good again would be very appreciated...even though some of the haters will never like him.
just use the search feature on deviant art and make sure you search under fanart. you'll find a lot of stuff. i think one of the girls also started a Shenko groups on that site.catabuca wrote...
I've only ever seen a couple of mShepxKaidan pictures/art ... does anyone know of anyone who draws/creates them?
(I've seen the one of them both shirtless standing several miles apart, and the line-drawn pic of them kissing.)
