And he's got no reason to hate Garrus (unless Garrus steals his girl) at all. Much less want Grunt to fight him.

The conversation starts with, "try to leave yourself a way out" and ends (with the neutral dialogue) with Kaidan admitting that cutting corners is probably inevitable. If you look at it backwards, it might make a bit more sense.
I translate it more or less like this: "We're going to have some hard choices ahead and I don't like it; I'll be there for whatever support and advice you need, but until I know more details, I can only advise that you try not to cut off your escape route once we're in the thick of things."

I love all of Jho's pictures, I've had various ones up on my second monitor while writing my fic for inspiration almost every chapter.Chignon wrote...

Ferris wheel? Ferris wheel? Are you calling the 'London Eye', a..................... Ferris wheel? *is shocked*legbamel wrote...
I love that pic. I squeed like mad when I saw the giant Ferris wheel, after what I wrote in The Double. I barely even noticed the Reapers all over London. All I could think was, "Ooh, Kaidan, Shep, and a Ferris wheel!"
