Gosh, I had a strange dream about ME2 DLC a few nights ago. Apparently they released an Illusive Man DLC and during it, I apparently felt like I knew everything about everything to do with the game and story.

Then I woke up.
I can't remember anything beyond simply that.
Needless to say it was one of the strangest dreams I've had in a long while.

Hahaha..! Kaidan dancing cracks me up every time.  Thanks for the video, AkodoRyu! (edit; how embarrassing! Sorry about the name confusion.)

And I remember reading (fanfic) the idea of Kaidan keeping Sheps Star of Terra (given to him by her mother, I believe). That's a sweet thought.

Also, I dream about ME all the time. My bf actually gave me Dragon Age for christmas just so I could at least vary my obsessions.  We'll soon know if it worked. But Illusive Man DLC is a good bet, I think. We've sort of been left hanging regarding where we fit in after ME2. Are we Spectres, Alliance, or Cerberus..? We have been able to leave Cerberus and the council, what about the Alliance? And will the employers whom we have left just accept it?

This should be resolved in ME3 (due to DLC being optional), but it would make more sense having it in DLC and focusing ME3 on the reapers. LotSB was indeed bridging, as it seems.

@dreams: mine usually include the commander and Kaidan in the way I'd have to put NSFW tags while describing them But I tend to forget details right after I wake up.

That's a really nice idea. I'm not sure that paper is still used in the ME universe, but even an electronic message sent to the entire crew with some mundane work related topic. Only he couldn't delete it once she was gone. Well, then it is military, but still.

On the other hand, he probably couldn't leave his apartment or turn on the TV without being reminded of her constantly. Maybe he would cherish the moments NOT thinking about her more.

I thought maybe since Liara found Shepard's body, she gave them to Hackett and then asked for them back or he offered to give them back.  But if that was the case it would make more since for Liara to give them to Kaidan since she knows how he felt about Shepard, unless she thought it would be too painful for him.

I think Liara took them and gave them to Hackett after giving Cerb her body...just in case Cerb couldnt do what they said they would, so the Alliance at least to have something of her. I cant see Hackett or the Alliance scanning the planet to find shep's tags and ignore the tags from the other crewmembers. And after Shep was resurected Liara asked them back. Hackett may or may not have known the reason why she would ask them back but he propably knows that Liara is the one who found her body so he gave them to her as a token of gratitude.

And what Kaidan would have to remind him of her? Since all her personal things are gone with the Normandy...(and his as welll) i cant imagine anything that he could posibly have, apart from his memories

This reminds me, please folks, if you see some awesome pic of Kaidan on deviantart, and it hasn't already been submitted, feel free to submit it to Kaidan Alenko Fans.  I try to search for new Kaidan related art every few days, but I generally only search for "Kaidan Alenko", because I know that many non-fans will spell it Kaiden, and people who just want more views for their Mass Effect related art will use Kaidan/Kaiden as a tag even if he's not in it at all.  =P  I love seeing new Kaidan art, and it's great to have a positive place on dA to share it!

Hackett did divide up the few remaining personal items of Shepard's that were recovered from the wreck.  Liara got Shepard's dog tags, Wrex got Shepard's sock, and Kaiden got Shepard's... lacey undergarments.

Sorry.  That's the first thing that popped into my head, and I couldn't stop myself from sharing.

I could be down with that. Just one thing though: I bet my John Shepard was a mite embarrassed to be wearing *that* underwear the day he went down with the Normandy.

Maybe Shepard's tags were kept by someone trusted (Hackett) because she wasn't officially proclaimed as dead. Him giving them to Liara to give to Shepard makes me suspicious that he was aware of Liara's plans to give the body to Ceberus for resurrection.

Then again, I'm probably putting way too much thought into this that the devs didn't even think of. It was probably just meant to show that Liara is a nice person that cares about Shepard.

I'm starting to suspect that maybe both Anderson and Hackett have ties to Cerberus.  It would explain why Hackett kept the Alliance off of Shepard's back, and why he held on to her dog tags until he knew Liara could return them to her.

Back on the subject... Maybe a sole survivor Shepard has little tokens of her old unit, the one that was killed on Akuze, that she keeps.  Lighters (if they're still used), belt buckles, etc.  I could see her giving them out when she works with someone else who she thinks is a really good soldier, someone who reminds her of the kind of people she was with on Akuze.

This would be something she'd do rarely enough that it would be a big compliment.  I could see her at least giving something to Kaidan and Ashley.

You know, every time I walk between levels of Zakera Ward and I look at the vista, looking out to the Presidium Ring, I think about that moment when Shepard was looking in the other direction with Kaidan and Ashley at her side. I always get rather sad at that point, wishing the two of them were there.

I miss them both too. ME2 didn't really give you a gut-wrenching moment like Virmire; that was strangely absent in a game touted to be extremely dark and edgy etc.



Anyway, we just have to wait for more dlc announcements and keep our fingers crossed. That's all we can do for now.
