Speaking of Kaidan and Ashley being interchangeable to Bioware, has anyone else noticed that Horizon was oddly out of character for Kaidan? Kaidan is a loyal marine, given, but he is practical about everything, where Ash is a little more gung ho about the Alliance. (Not that there is anything wrong with that, I'm gung ho about the Alliance) It seems to me Bioware geared the conversation on Horizon to Ashley. I know it would be a little more work and money but you would think they would have slightly different scripts.
It really isn't if you think about it though. I mean, think about what he's been going through for the past two years, especially if you romanced him. Kaidan's general temperament may be relatively calm and he may not be prone to outbursts like that, but Horizon is an exceptional situation and Kaidan is human. Anyone, even someone like Kaidan would be prone to getting pissed in that situation and saying not-so-awesome things. Even if it's only friendship, he opened himself up to you and made himself vulnerable in some way and he definitely suffered as a result of Shepard's death.
Horizon is the first time he has seen Shepard since then and it is a sketch-ass situation with Cerberus involved and suddenly nothing is clear-cut and everything he knows to be true is thrown into chaos. There are a lot of emotions at play there and when someone is experiencing a multitude of conflicting, powerful emotions in a situation like that, you get anger.
I don't know. It makes perfect sense to me, but I'm also a psychotherapist so I might be looking too much into it.

As long as what they have planned doesn't involve turning Ash or Kaidan into an enemy.
I want the VS back on the squad, and I want it to happen early in the game and without having to shoot at them.
They're not going to kick us while we're down. It makes no sense from a writer's perspective... or from any other perspective, for that matter.
