wtf. I go to work for a few hours and come back to Kaidan on the bottom of page 2! I would post a mad Kaidan pic but I don't know how. Oh well, everyone is probably sleeping.

Morning all @ Sbri I'm from Lancashire, but neither of my parents are so I have a poshish northern accent which occasionally slips into proper northern, as I said my American friends thought it sounded quite nice. Obviously to me it's what I'm used to so hard to compare it to other accents.

Oh sir, do NOT make me pull out my English Lauguage History source books.  There are several examples of American usage that is more true to English as spoken prior to the major pronunciation shift that occured in Britain in the early 1800's.  I could point out that Britian itself has more differences in pronunciation then then the whole of the US, though that has been shifting in the last 50 years or so.  Speaking of which, what region are you a BECC4 from?  I'd love to get a better idea for what your accents might be like.

I'm from the Midlands, between Leicester and Birmingham, but I don't really have much of an accent to brag about sadly as I was an army brat and spent most of my first 10 years in West Germany (when that was still a country), so never really developed an accent beyond 'generic English'. Though I'm told I'm starting to pick up some of the local one, specifically the 'silent h' i.e. I say 'ere instead of here.
